Used Lomo Metropolis to turn this pathway at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo into a desolate environment under an alien sun. Yellows really pop as can be seen in the tree in the background.

On our Hawaiian holiday we stayed on the Island of Oahu but we did do a day trip over to The Big Island of Hawaii itself to see the Volcano National park. The weather was miserable ,foggy and wet but driving around the new roads recently re built after a major eruption in the 80’s was just wierd and made for quite a eerie day…. It was just total desolation. It was like driving on the moon.

I like the vignetting effect, so I added a bit more :) I tried out Adobe Lightroom for these last two and like it so far.
The raw sienna in the middle ground brightens up this desolate and gloomy scene. Inspired by the view of a lonely tree in Barrhaven.

Desolate Oregon. The city of Kent is located on hwy 97 between Shaniko and Grass Valley in Central Oregon. It is considered a ghost town, and what remains today are a few decrepit buildings and a cemetery (022611)
