today, i woke up EVEN LATER than i did yesterday. i need to start getting my sleeping patterns together.
then, just a short time later, i went to hang out with my friends katherine&darby. got a lot of laughing out of my system.
afterwards, i went to the grocery store with my dad, &i got sushi for dinner. ^-^ so nommy!
i was supposed to watch project runway, but instead, got hit with an idea. (isn't that how it always is? you have a scheduled plan to do something, and then you get hit with a burst of creativity that you know will only last a short while, so you HAVE to act on that inspiration immediately. am i the only one who thinks this?)
anywho, i changed quickly, and got on my bike. i road to the lake. much to my chagrin, there were many people at the lake, but i still took the photo anyway. i actually had to make a makeshift tripod, as usual for me. the tripod=a t-shirt, my backpack, two books, and my cellphone.
i also had to sit in the marshy area of the lake, which is copmletely fine, besides the fact that my back end got completely wet. (what i go through for photography.)
anywho, this photo is growing on me.

.A detailed description of this structure is given by F.S. Mackenna in the Kist, vol. 22, 1981. with an Appendix in Vol. 24. According to Mackenna Its design is attributed to William Adam c 1747 and the building dates from 1749.
It is built over a large boulder in the hillside from which a natural spring issues. The stream from the rock is collected in an oval rock-cut basin at the foot. A notch in the front rock wall of the basin permits an overflow into a small shallow basin cut into the flagged floor, from which it is conducted by a narrow winding channel in the floor to the outside edge of the pavement. The overflow now falls into a small hole in the channel before it reaches the edge.
It is a beautifully built classical structure. The interior has an arched roof and the floor is paved. The blocks, apart from the keystone, surrounding the arched doorway and above it, are decorated with vermiculation. The roof has stone slabs and is curved at the rear. Carved graffiti are present on some roof blocks and on at least one side wall. The finer graffiti have been suggested by Mackenna to have been the work of the stonemasons.

VETERANS' COTTAGES AT CALLANDER.
VISCOUNTESS ESHER LAYS MEMORIAL STONE.
The memorial stone of the second block of six cottages being erected at Callander by the Scottish Veterans Garden City Association for soldiers and sailors belonging to Perthshire who were permanently disabled in the great war was laid on Saturday afternoon.
Amongst those present at the ceremony were Viscount and Viscountess Esher. The Roman Camp. Callander; the Earl of Moray, Doune Lodge: Sir Richard Mackie, Leith, representing the Central Executive of the Scottish Garden Association; and Sir William Rowan Thomson. The disabled men who occupy the first instalment of cottages were also on the platform.
Viscountess Esher laid the memorial stone, which bears the following inscription:— "Memorial stone laid by Eleanor, Viscountess Esher. R.R.C., Lady of Justice of th« Order of Jerusalem, 6th August, 1921." A handsome miniature mallet and trowel was presented to Viscountess Esher by Sir Richard Mackie. who afterwards delivered an address appropriate to the occasion, and following this the company inspected the occupied cottages.

FOR DISABLED MEN
SCOTTISH VETERANS* GARDEN SETTLEMENTS.
The annual report issued by the Scottish Veterans’ Garden City Association states that during the past year a number of settlements have been completed and occupied. A beginning has also been made at East Calder with the last of the 17 settlements which the Association set out provide, and with this settlement completed in the coming autumn, tho Association will have provided for the use of disabled Scotsmen cottage homes at Longniddry, Leith, Glasgow, Greenock, Dundee. Aberdeen. Montrose. Perth, Pitlochry, Callander. Falkirk, Bathgate, Peebles, St. Boswells, Hawick, Moffat, and East Caldcr. All the Houses are built in the most approved style, with front and back garden plots, and in a great many cases ground also been provided for market gardening and poultrv farming. Although the Association has been most fortunate in the financial support received, a considerable sum is still required to enable it to free each settlement of capital debt, and addition it is desired to have a sum available for any extraordinary exponditure in the way of repairs, and so relieve the occupants of the necessity of providing such payment.

The thought process for this began with a reverse black spot, which would be placed in the users hand. When giving to a reciever you press down on the spot and it makes a temporary sensory imprint in their hand. I also made contact details scondary to the graphical elements. This means that the user has to hunt for details and place the card within 5cm from the face. I thought this concept was interesting in that I could perhaps makes a visual stamp on someones brain. The act of doing something different like this sparks a memory imprint. The bloated cross on the front side represents the bloated human conciousness, hungry to expand. Similarily the cross is intercepted with lines representing neurones. The metaphorical neurones can be lined up togther to create a network of interconnected cards and crosses.

On the National Road, in Lisbon, Howard County, Maryland.
The Maryland Historic Trust Historic Sites Survey includes the following description for this structure:
The I.O.O.F. building faces south on the north side of Route 144, east of HO-487 Mannings
Frame House. It is a two bay wide, four bay deep, two story high, gabled roof (running
north-south) frame building (covered with white rusticated metal siding, resting on a
stone foundation. A rectangular, double paneled south entrance is located in the east
bay, covered by a gabled roof portico, supported by two Doric columns. Four cement
steps, flanked by an iron railing lead to its landing.
Two second floor windows rest above, similar to the other windows of the building
which are vertically aligned, proportionally scaled, rectangular and double-hung,
holding six-over-six lights.
The west elevation holds four such first and second floor windows while the east elevation
holds four similar second floor windows and has a one story high, shed roofed addition,
one bay wide and four bays deep, along its entire wall.
The building presently houses the Church of the Open Bible and its school and office
space. It is in excellent condition, retaining original doors and woodwork as well
as a front staircase.
The foundation has been recently excavated and a cinder block basement constructed
beneath the building.
8. SIGNIFICANCE
SPECIFIC DATES circa 1860
The I.O.O.F. Building, which now houses the Church of the Open Bible is significant
architecturally, historically and in the social/humanitarian area.
Architecturally it is significant as one of three large public nineteenth century
buildings located in the town of Lisbon which are all similar in scale and proportion,
having gabled roofs running north-south, though each is now unique in its own stylistic
detail. The others are HO-244, The Lisbon M.E. Church and HO-205, Lee's Store and House.
Historically, this building is noteworthy as one of three social centers in the
nineteenth century town of Lisbon; the other two centers being the general store and
the church. This building housed the Rainbow Lodge No. 96 of the Independent Order
of Odd Fellows in 1860 and is delineated on both the 1860 Martenet Map and the 1878
Hopkins Atlas. It has served as one of the focal centers for the social life of this
community since 1860.
On January 27, 1857 this property was deeded to Charles C, Owings by William A.
Webb, part of lot #20 on the plat of the Village of Lisbon.
On July 21, 1860 Charles C. and Amelia Elizabeth Owings, owner at that time,
conveyed this property to the Grand Lodge of Maryland of the Independent Order of Odd
Fellows, for the sum of $100 (WWN21-62)
In later years it was owned by Robey Mullinix and conveyed to Edgar T. Barnes
on August 18, 1936 CBM Jr. 155-23). Later acquired by the Manning Family, it was
sold to the Church of the Open Bible September 24, 1976 (787-666).
Again a social focal point for the community in its use as a church, it also
serves the community by providing a school.
Significant architecturally, historically and in the social/humanitarian area,
the I.O.O.F. Building along with the entire village of Lisbon should be placed on
the National Register of Historic Places and the State Critical Areas Program.

Description:
In a township (refering to a poor black area in SA) mosque unites muslims
brothers of all ages, races and backgrounds. The building is far from fancy,
yet the light of Allah shines through the windows. This magnificent light,
lightens Islam (Imaan is strengthened) within their hearts.
Allah's light need not to shine in a fancy building, but in a fancy heart.
And what contributes to a fancy heart, is when sharing, respecting, loving,
caring and praying is used as tools to contruct. A man cannot construct with
out its fellow man\ men\ brother (labourers). How can one care, if there is
none to care for? How can one love, if there is none to love...etc.
The picture, thus emphasizes 'togetherness' and the light that shines from
there, also the light that shines onto them.
