I like the depth in this image because the background is blurry and also some flowers while it focuses on only a piece of the plant.
1/60ƒ/8ISO 10034 mm. Depth of field. The element of art that I used for taking this picture was Color. The color scheme has an enhanced appeal to me an impact on the picture. This picture has great value. This picture can add impact on the composition. This picture has texture; from looking at the picture you can see that the rose is smooth. The principle of design has emphasis since the composition refers to the developing points of interest to pull the viewer’s eye. This picture has awesome contrast! You could say that this picture has repetition with the other roses in the background. Before taking this picture I thought about simplicity. I choose the rose to be my subject before taking the picture. I think this picture of the rose has a new perspective because I didn’t do the normal really close of the rose I tired doing something different. This picture works with the rule of thirds. My focus isn’t in the middle of the picture. This picture I had to cut off a little on the right side because I had a part of another rose in the picture and it was distracting.
The depth is presented by the strawberries, as the photo is two-dimensional, however the containers for the strawberries is three-dimensional. Used the Apple iPhone 7 camera.
This is deep depth of field as everything is in focus. This makes the image more interesting and brings out all the delicate details from the lights and the texture of the wood
This picture was something that I had a hard time with. I had an idea in my head to have the main focus be the screen and have the crowd in the background. I feel that in this picture the screen is the main focus and the sharks logo has nice colors.
As an old fart manual camera shooting film photographer sometimes autofocus gets the best of me.
Oh well, at least it gave me a good way to show depth of field.
I saw this and thought it was comical so I photographed it, it has a sort of gradient of depth of field, the near lawn is kind of clear, and further back the blurriness increases, and the houses in the shadow are even more blurry.

There were three things I wanted to use to create the depth in this photo. First, I used the ocean as the foreground, then the anchored boat as the middle ground and the sunrise/land line as the back ground. The sunrise created an overlapping of both the foreground and middle ground that completed the picture. I like how the photo has different layers to look at.

I took this photo at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk yesterday afternoon, from the pier. I wanted to be able to show the boardwalk in the background, so I used a long focal length (85mm) so that the boardwalk would appear larger in the background. I used a smaller aperture so that the boardwalk would be sharp enough so that you could see the details, but I like how in this photo the boardwalk is just blurry enough so that the people remain the focus of the image in the foreground.
