Shot this portrait and tried to capture the lane behind the model. It should have been more interesting when only the exit at the end was hightlighted. That's what I was trying to aim for. Still I'm not unhappy with the way it turned out. Contrast between the model and trees are just interesting enough.

Strobist info : shoot through umbrella right of the model.

Please leave comments, I'm willing to learn.

was just playing around with my 50mm 1.8. I have not had it on the camera for quite some time so thought I would dust it off and have a play :) I miss this baby but its not as practical for me to use as a walk around these days.

Just loved the grain and noise on the picture. Also added some lens distortion. Creepy and dark but also peaceful and intimacy with a lot of depth.

This is my son's favorite tree to climb. I wanted to focus on the tree but include him in it to show that this is his tree. The light glowing behind him and his expression exudes the confidence and sense of exploration that I see when he is up in his tree climbing. f/5.6 SS 1/160

Last Saturday I took this nice picture at the Montseny natural park. That "strange" mountain you can see at the background is Montserrat.

I like the fog between the mountains and the blueish tones.

I suggest to have a look in a bigger size.

The upper chart shows the total Depth of Field for a Lens Aperture for

varying Subject Distance in metres.

The lower chart shows both the nearest and the furthest focus limits

for a Lens Aperture for varying Subject Distance in metres.

The curves are arranged in pairs,

each pair has the same color code

and is for an aperture setting of the lens.

The upper curve is the far focus range;

the lower curve is the near focus range.

The dashed, straight line is the subject distance.

Anything nearer than the near focus distance starts to get blurry and

the image deteriorates quickly the closer it gets to the lens. Anything

beyond the far focus gets progressively blurry.

Charts are calculated for DX camera circle of confusion 0.02mm.

The beginnings of my utter joy. I decided to add this picture because food is a fairly essential factor of daily life. This is the first steps of the makings of the best quinoa salad you will ever have. It is pure joy.
