This is an example of medium density fiber board used in a leed platinum building. The 08/07/09 photos were taken prior to the moisture test. The 08/11/09 photos were taken after 48 hours of being submersed in water. The 08/13/09 photos were taken after being allowed to dry. The results of this unscientific test were that the mdf was not adversely affected by being exposed and immersed in water.

I was so surprised when we landed in Lisbon that you fly directly over the city, very close to the houses. I have never been to an airport so close to the city centre before

"The urban area of Hong Kong has the highest population and employment density in the world. Measured at block level, some areas may have population densities of more than 400,000 people per square kilometre. As of 2011, there are seven million people for its 1,068 square kilometres (412 square miles) of land. However, more than 75 per cent of this land comprises no-built-up areas. The high concentration of people in just a few square kilometres is due partly to the fact that new town development did not take place until well into the 1970s and therefore most of the population (which had experienced a post-war boom in the 1950s)... The high price of land in Hong Kong also contributes to its high-density development. Those on low and middle incomes, and even some on high incomes, can only afford to live in high-rise buildings. Despite its very high density, Hong Kong is a still a very livable city compared to other large cities in the world."

Cokin P 121 M. Notice the affect on the sky. The blue has been darkened, and more definition has been added to the clouds. No tint has been added - thus the term "Neutral Density".

By holding the filter by hand, I am able to control the location. I could put it at an angle. Or turn it upside down to darken water in a stream, for example.

The further down I pull the filter, the darker the effect.

You could make up an extra bright panel at this density - this is 50 LEDs packed into a small space. But you couldn't really use stripboard for this because there wouldn't be enough room for the underlying circuit. Looks good though.

To be honest, my wife and I stumbled on the neighbourhood of "SoHo" accidentally. There is actually an escalator running all the way up the hillside flanked by pubs and art galleries. The towers perched on such a steep grade left me in awe.
