I have some ideas but nothing definite. I'm going to try and get back to them over the next few days, to see if I can get a better photo and spore colour. Does anyone have any ideas? I was exploring the idea that they may be Cortinarius violaceus, or some kind of chunky stemmed Leptonia. I am at a loss for now. I bet someone out there recognises it - it's probably really common, but you never know :)
