when i saw this on the menu, i thought they meant that the burger patties were breaded and deep fried, japanese style. but no, it's a fully formed and cooked double cheeseburger that was dipped in an egg wash, then breaded in panko crumbs. i also thought, "dang, only on guam" but apparently it's a staple of state fairs all over the mainland.
for bunch of pants, who reminded me of its existence.

Not just any old meatballs, but heart attack inducing pork meatballs! Sure tastes good if you indulge rarely. This actually made for three individual meals yesterday.
For the beverage, I drank a glass of diet Mountain Dew, which contains brominated vegetable oil. All European countries and Japan have banned BVO.
According to several websites, BVO has nasty side effects if consumed in large quantities...
"Bromine is a central nervous system depressant, and can trigger a number of psychological symptoms such as acute paranoia and other psychotic symptoms. Bromine toxicity can also manifest as skin rashes, acne, loss of appetite, fatigue, and cardiac arrhythmias."

In Pakistan during Ramadan are a lot of delicacies in the bakeries and mithai shops to drool over...Me and my brother were coming back to my khala's place from a shopping spree and spotted this bakery. He mentioned they make the best chicken rolls in town. We bought about 2 dozens of chicken rolls (yes never go for grocery shopping with an empty stomach:)
Outside the bakery, this guy was frying a huge pool of samosas, I stepped forward and asked him if I can take a picture? He gave me the biggest smile in town and said....aaho Jee...zaroor :)

Frankenstein, otherwise known as mole cricket. Before anything else, let’s know a bit more about this burrowing insect. They are digging fiends, equipped with excavating claws that could melt the toughest stone. A great deal of time is spent in the day scooping out passageway of different kinds, with some leading to Egypt. After sunset, male moles become songbirds by opening and closing their wings. Their love for karaoke is not a leisure pursuit, but a need to attract a suitable lady to breed.
Now we get back to the main point. Mole crickets strike fear on the hearts of sugarcane and peanut growers alike. They are also irredeemable with landscape architects and horticulturists. If you posses empathetic intelligence, place yourself in this shoe-shifting scenario. The peaceable Zen garden you crafted and maintained for years is ruined in a single night by erratic crop circles, and it is not the works of UFOs.
Sure enough, there are two sides to every story. Do mole crickets deserve blame and animosity? A new realization on the unpopular critter surfaced. Have you heard of the Gotthard Base Tunnel? Naïve people think the construction is accomplished by the extraordinary feat of human engineering and modern machineries. The truth is, it is not for the Switzerland government to tell the public a top secret. However, for the sake of giving credit, I let the cat out of the bag today. An inestimable number of critters had been released in holes and corners underground. Hear this, when exhausted boring equipments and zombie road headers broke down all together, mole crickets are the only ones that kept going. I hope you see from another’s perspective, the way things work there is no completely good or totally bad hat. The classification of mole crickets as demonic pest is quite subjective.
In my case, I show my utmost respect by making a delicacy out of them. A way of doing this is to amass one bucket and microwave them whole, until I get instant shrimp chips. Those into fine dining may rip off the heads and shells first. Following you add a cup of butter, lots of minced garlic and frizzle the bodies in the pan up to golden brown. With simple preparation, I vouch this protein rich snack is crispier than KFC. Whatever method you choose, mole crickets will be munched with relish, as long you don’t season it with poison ivy.
This is one of the most popular dishes served at the SEDCO Square seafood haven. Not recommended for weight watchers though.
