This frog was sitting at the top of our steps when I went out to greet my visiting family last week. It must have had a long journey to get up here, as we live about 20 feet off the ground!
Brackets fitted to eliminate any twist with brickwork under to firm up
support. Wall brackets holding firm at house end but need to make up a
trap door for access to the grate.
Bulldozer now gone (was there 2 months) Grass is making the most gallant attempt at surviving. AG oil tank – good. Deck came with makeshift pup-gate, also good.
Deck railing removed and placed in a pile, awaiting the 40 yard dumpster. We also took this opportunity to dispose of the red settee in our basement.
Seating arrangement on deck. I think it is kind of blah so I am going to bring some cushions and décor
Deck side on showing the air cylinders I made from Evergreen 4.5mm tube (might have been 4.8), the two close to each other have a 10thou wrapper with rivet detail embossed. The angle brackets are made from some 1.2mm plastruct angle. We still had the steps to put on when this was taken. We plan to put some lattice on the lower part to hide the ugly bit underneath which you can really see as you come up the driveway. It also needs a gate on the south side I think. It's a long way down if Aubrey or anyone else were to fall. There is only 1 step on the north side so its not too bad.
This is the woodchuck that over the past 3 springs likes to sun himself on my deck. He's wily because he alludes the traps set out to get him, so he can be removed to a setting more fitting for woodchuck.
We visited my sister again. Some friends of hers allowed us to use their house on the river. In the background is the bridge we used to jump from as teenagers. Now it is illegal to jump from the bridge.
Tom and Fay needed a deck to make the door on the second story of their house in the backyard behind the kitchen a little more safe. Observe the excellent technical support that Adena and Mike provide.
