The original deck was unattractive, not up to date with the building codes and the structural members were in question. The homeowner wanted to expand the deck, hide the existing concrete stairs, relocate the access from the yard to the left side of the deck and use a composite material (TrexTR) for the horizontal surfaces. We proposed and constructed a simple design that addressed all their needs. We also incorporated a gate at the top of the stairs and two removable access panels below the deck for easy access to storage.
