I hated the last staining job that was done on the deck about 5 years ago and can hardly wait to have the money to redo the deck completely.
The original deck was approximately 12'x12' (24 sq ft) and built when the house was constructed. It lacked character and had limited space for entertaining. For those hot summer days the owners installed a 24' pool and wanted a deck that would maximize their backyard, provide ample amount of space for entertaining, and be low maintenance. We proposed the following design. A bi-level deck finished with a composite material (TrexTR) that would look great and address their needs for entertaining, storage, and low maintenance. The upper level deck is approx 15'x 15 and the lower platform 30'x15' for a total of 675 sq ft. The two staircases provide easy access to and from the yard. The gates are self closing and there are two removable access panels below the deck, one on each side, for easy access to storage.
These are pictures from 2006. Wanted to reload them to the flickr account.
We had a new deck installed by Decks By JRW in Seattle, WA back in 2996. This is the old deck.

I found it ironic that we were asked to use only our junk mail to do this project.
MY problem area lies in PILES of papers. I tend to accumulate catalogs and school papers and papers I need to sift through, bills, etc....and while I organize them...before I know it I have MANY piles or stacks all around that need to be take care of. I sometimes feel I am surrounded by the stuff and drowning in a pool of papers, catalogs, to-do lists, etc. I love all of it, but have to learn to address ANY mail coming into my home immediately, sort it, dump some of it, and be realistic about the fact that some of it I may never get to or look at, so they really need to be dumped too. I also have problems tossing magazines.....or catalogs. Especially magazines with recipes or photographs.
SO my JUNK that can make me feel overwhelmed from time to time and never fully TOGETHER.......would be an overflow of incoming papers/mail/catalogs
What did you do for breakfast this morning? I jumped off of this dock, caught a Mud Dragon and had a conversation with him about his attitude which was any thing but pleasant!
