Holly, sadly, was right out.

The support 4x6's have been cut and we're now setting the 2x6 support beams.

The beginnings of a huge deck. Here's me putting Danger to work on getting all the landscaping fabric down so that he doesn't get huge weeds tapping him on the shoulder while downing cold ones on his deck.

If the weather is nice (above fifty degrees and less than ten percent chance of rain) I spend a couple of hours each day staining the deck. This is what I have done so far.

Softwood decking

The deck is big enough for playing, eating, studying, and cooking all at the same time without getting in each other's way. It warms in the morning sun and stays pleasant all day.

We leveled the sub-structure, anchored it, and started adding the decking yesterday.

There was approximately 400 pounds of staturated foam and excess water trapped in forward section of hull. We removed all foam in the forward areas, created limber hole for future drainage. Poured new foam in place before glassing in cut out access panels in forward storage, under console and in anchor locker.

Each 2" plank is laid out, with the butts forming a repeating pattern.
