Well, I could give you a few reasons why I haven't yet brought in the chairs from our back deck. Instead, here they are, sitting next to the charcoal grill on a shrink wrap day.
Experiments and tests I've been doing for a new collaborative piece with designer/illustrator Owen Gildersleeve.

So the "carting" process was ....
You had to cue the master tape by finding the head of track.. then run it for a few seconds to get the level to "Zero". Then you recued it to the head and took the master / supply tape and the take up reel back half a turn ?. You pushed the green button on the cart deck to get the cart tape rolling... you then immediately pushed the red record button .. then you pushed the play button on the reel to reel. All this happened within the space of about two seconds. When you finished recording .....(and this is REALLY testing my memory).. you had to drop the deck out of record and push the end pulse button (next to the VU meter). That would put the deck into fast forward ?
