Dead tree in the grounds of Croft Castle in Herefordshire, UK.

Just next to a gyser in Yellowstone national park there was this tree that illustrated how these geysers decimate the life around them. I thought it was beautiful.

I noticed how the dead tree nicely stood out from the lake here.

A lot of the dead tree trunks lying around looked twisted like this.

Photographed a number of times, but how can I resist?

The cracked surface of the minerals, dead trees and seeping water at Canary Spring at Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park.

At some point in time, these wood had burned. This tree survived many years after before it "gave up its ghost."

I neglected to water this sapling for the better part of last fall. I promise that I'll get better at tending to plants.

A tree on the skyline in Lyme Park

The parish church of Hanbury, St Mary the Virgin, is set in an imposing position on a hill with panoramic scenic views overlooking the Worcestershire countryside. This photograph is taken looking east across an area of old gravestones. The currently used burial area is directly behind the photographer.
