Here in Crewe the local fields don't have Oak trees encompassed by the wonderful Rapeseed they have pylons!
Day 142 done with a heady scent still up my nostrils...
yesterday i left canada to come home. i hated to leave my sister, but i needed to get home with my own little family and to catch my breathe from the most intense two weeks of my life.
it's so good to be home.

b/w friday
OK, so these images were taken using a reverse ring adapter and my 18-55mm kit lens (hence the lack of EXIF - you lose the electronic connection with the camera with this method)
The only post editing is the b/w conversion and assembling the three together to form the triptych (basically I couldn't make up my mind which one to choose for today's shot!)
This is actually a 'macro' of my necklace which is quite heavily embossed, which created all these mad bokeh trails when the sun light hit the links.

I seem to shot steps quite often in this 365 - but this is the first time I've shot these stairs. These stairs are different - they're on a curve. They're also right next to where I got a park this afternoon to pick up Meg after school. Done and dusted.
Desperate for my daily image for the 365 group, while I was preparing dinner I cut open the red pepper for the skewers and thought that it looked like a wide open mouth. Just needed a few embellishments... For some reason this reminds me of Mick Jagger :)
I decided to do something a bit different. First of all it's the first time I have made a photo of my back :P lol the only thing I like about my back is my tattoo... anyway, I also used rectangles and circles to make it more interesting. I could have hide that chair etc but I think that way it looks more real, more... normal (?).

Bunny and my husband had a bit of a disagreement when he got up around midnight to use the bathroom about who was really sleeping in a certain spot. He yelled at her and she brought her hurt and offended little self over to my side of the bed. Today she's claiming that he really interrupted her beauty sleep and that she needs to catch up.

the square crop is something I rarely use, but I like how it works with this. I've listened to Hozier's "Take me to church" all day today and it gave me the idea for this. the song is stuck in my head now, but I don't mind. not yet anyway.

I got my toes done last week as a sort of "end of the semester" treat to myself. My mom will usually give me pedicures, but I decided to go all out and get one at this place down the street from school. He (yes he) did a good job! Jon ended up paying for it. Don't ask. He's way too sweet.
I am really enjoying being home. I woke up this morning, had some coffee, read my book, and took the dog for a walk. Can't do that tomorrow cuz I work 5 a.m. til 12. Yuck.
Down to Cornwall today and with the sea mist rolling in thick and fast I took the opportunity for this shot. Processed quite bit to add more atmosphere.
Now that the cider orchard is coming into blossom I thought I'd get some product shots of the 2012 vintage. This obviously involved me opening a bottle and tragically having to drink it after I couldn't replace the top.

today (day 142 | 2010-05-22) there was some kind of event on the Delft marketplace. it was over by the time we were there for some ice cream, but the parachute that they used as roof/parasol was still suspended from this huge crane. the chute was really big, i'd guess 20 of 30 meters in diameter...
Jump because I finally got my own room! So I tried one of the jumping shots from poopoorama. He made a lot of up in the air shots. So I tried this hotel room shot called "hotel room jump while wearing a suit". Sorry. I didn't bring a suit. That's the best I can do. I have a few more jumping bed shots right here:

Since meeting the rather unique Mrs PB, Mr Fox has had to somewhat curb his nocturnal habits. He used to spend long nights under the moonlight, flirting with lady foxes, reminiscing with Mr Wolf, and stalking rabbits. He'd save his engineering and cooking for daylight as operating lathes (Mr Fox's favorite machine) and kitchen apparatus can be a tad dangerous in the dark, but night-time was when he'd do his thinking.
Back in the day, Mr Fox might even have been described as bit of a 'rascal'. This of course is a big secret, Mr Fox is very cagey about his past, and wouldn't want Mrs PB to use it as an excuse for being even naughtier than she already is. If only she knew the sacrifices he's made for her though... no more are the days of rabbit aplenty, pickings have been much lower since he made the switch and got into the beans business.
But Mr Fox rarely reminisces. Despite feeling the wrath of a certain polar bear's rolling pin all too often, he wouldn't swap her for all the chicken pies in the world.

Didn't do much in the morning and afternoon besides walk Mimi and catch up on the daily. For the most part, just chilled and relaxed. When Mindy got off work, we checked out some spots and then headed over to Teaway in Alameda for a drink. Headed to Marvin and Elissa's place to catch up and see what they have been up to. Mindy was there as well to purchase some tank tops from Marvin. For quite some time, I always wanted to a photo of what I have or use everyday. The title Essentials is self-explanatory and is my 366 entry for today.
