In that which we share,
let us see the common prayer of humanity.
In that which we differ,
let us wonder at the freedom of humankind.
Passover is an eight-day celebration marking the deliverance of the Jews from slavery in Egypt. It begins with the Seder--a family worship service and evening meal that constitute the home Passover ceremony that begins before the sundown. It was good seeing my in laws and celebrating the holiday with them. As always, dinner was super delicious! :)

# 41 in my 100 x challenge - using my nifty fifty
I was getting a bit worried that I hadn't got a photo so took my camera out when we went for a walk after dinner this evening. This laburnum tree caught my eye. More flowers but it's that time of year and I don't think you can have too many flower photos!
He's always there for her.
i wish i had a friend like him.
Thank YOU so much for your amazingly lovely testimonial <33
Great thunderstorm with hail and torrential rain took place on Thursday. I was working from home so could not resist not taking a photo of my hail/rain stricken patio. It doesn't look as it should, as it nearly stopped raining by the time I found my camera, but you get the overall idea :) Right?

The Fortress of Knowledge (only 2 years of knowledge)
*I used my kitchen scale to weigh the cards in small stacks as I built my fort and I got a rough estimate of ~800 oz (50 lb) which equates to approximately 16,000 notecards. And every one has a medical fact on it which I knew at one point or another. So instead of doing important stuff like going to the beach or catching up on Flickr, I built a fort. What can I say? Now that my test is over my priorities have gotten all mixed up!
Had a Pre-Prom Shoot in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn today (yesterday). The shoot was hectic. I think I got some ok shots but I often feel like I didn't get enough. I snatched this one for the project because to me it conveys the feel of this section of Brooklyn. Day142/365 #project365 - Williamsburg, Brooklyn
I am getting pretty tired of regular old bird shots.... so I thought I would get "artsy" for a change. This is a fledgling nuthatch.
For my ongoing bird-a-day project for 2017. Thanks all!

Today was my day for picking the FGR group, and I chose I Love Paper Fun. I've seen so many fab pics using paper as a tool which have worked so well.
When I had the idea for the theme I didn't have this shot in mind, I had a completely different idea... but then I saw viva la vibs' newspaper photo again and it inspired me to get the newspaper out!
I had to use the 400d as it's the only one with a remote, although I am pleased to say I managed to find a 3rd party remote for my 50d on ebay which should be here within the next few days.
I really had fun doing this little shoot :)
Well, I've photographed Starbucks coffee before, but not with my SLR camera and piggies with it.... so I guess it counts? ^_^
Also, I used a different lens (a 40mm Pancake Lens) than normal since taking that bulky macro lens would be a bit too heavy to carry around.

20210522_0185_7D2-400 Rock at Estuary at high tide (142/365)
This is one of the rocks that the kingfishers use to perch and wait to see a crab moving before darting in to grab it and often bring it back to this rock to smash it against before eating.

Starting off International Four Eyes Week with this photo.
There will be more to come.
I promise.
Just a quick photo capture before running out the door this morning and off to work I go.

The limb of this old Apple tree appears dead and dying, but the terminal branches still sprout green leaves and it still supports a very active bird feeder. Therefore, I'm reluctant to cut it down before its time.
