124/365: 2015
Time to relax now, after a hectic couple of weeks. Just a quick snap after a tiring journey.
On Friday night, there are many temptations on the street.

Strum my ribcage like a harp
Tell me I look ridiculous
With different coloured fingernails
And then kiss my collarbones
Signs of spring. :) Hope you are having a beautiful day!

All of a sudden, it is hot here and Bunny is less than impressed. She decided today that all she wanted to do was lay underneath the fan, and I decided all I wanted to do was lay there with her after all day in the heat without a/c on at work. At least she had it on at home. It's a dog's life, I tell you!
You can read more about Bunny at TalesAndTails.com.
I initially thought the sonic boom I heard this afternoon was from a military jet flying too close to civilian airspace. It turns out it may have been a meteor that exploded in our area.

This morning I met up with Darren from the South East Gang, at Seaford for a walk along the cliffs to the coastguard cottages, then inland for lunch at the Cuckmere Inn.....thanks Darren I enjoyed your company and all the fresh air, and quiet of the countryside.

20200503_6724_7D2-200 Wispy Cloud - Y Front (124/366)
With two days of warm North West conditions we had a late afternoon Nor'west arch over the Canterbury Plains.
Under the high overhead cloud small wispy clouds were scudding past, illuminated by the sun near the western horizon. They kept changing shape as the formed, moved and dissipated when they got close to the coast.

These are a protected plant in the UK - so no disturbing or digging up:)
These are actually growing in our front drive, they are very pretty.
In the United Kingdom, H. non-scripta is a protected species under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. Landowners are prohibited from removing common bluebells on their land for sale and it is a criminal offence to remove the bulbs of wild common bluebells.
Sometimes, you don't know what is outside your comfort area - your tunnel, if you will. But you know at some point, you must make the effort to go out anyway. The first step is always the hardest.
Life is just one big question mark.

Dear Makayla,
Obviously he rather talk, excuse me, flirt with some other girl than make the effort to even say “hello” to you. Obviously he rather broadcast all his flirtatious conversations to the world because he knows you’ll see it. Obviously he’s just doing it to piss you off. Or maybe, maybe he really does have a crush on this girl. And you know what? That’s just fine and dandy because today, you stopped caring. And girl, does it feel fanfreakintastic! You’re so much happier which is ironic because usually that kind of thing would bring you down. But nope. Not anymore.
I’m so proud of you girl<3 Now dump him ;)
I love you, chica. Stay strong. And when you feel like you’re about to miss him, think about this day.
This is day four; day four of your journey without him.
Always,
Your mind
I really don’t care that this is horribly overexposed, how dirty my hand is or how grainy this is cause this is for my own enjoyment. This project is about documenting the days and this, oh, this day is something to remember :]
Might upload a Jahoho video later….:D
kind of somewhat getting my groove back. school is almost complete for the semester and my stress level is finally coming down.

I spent a while on photoshop yesterday so today I decided to study while I was doing my 365 day/Class with Dave shot. Voila: The Brachial Plexus.
1. Text - The subject of the photo must be text (letters and/or numbers in any language). The text must be photographed, not added in post-processing.
Take a Class With Dave and Dave
Memorizing the Brachial Plexus:
Each nerve is made up of several roots from the spinal cord and there is a handy way to memorize which roots make up which nerves. Take your left hand and name the thumb C5, then your first finger C6, all the way to your pinky, which is T1. Then say the following phrase:
3 Musketeers (hold up first 3 fingers - C5,6,7 make up the Musculocutaneous nerve)
Assassinated (hold up a "gun" with your hand - C5,6 make up the Axillary nerve)
5 Mice (C5-T1 make up the Median nerve)
5 Rats (C5-T1 make up the Radial nerve)
and 2 Unicorns (C8, T1 make up the Ulnar nerve)
Also, as the 5 nerves form, the brachial plexus mixes up all the parts and each time parts combine, the segments have different names. The mnemonic to memorize each segment is "Randy Travis Drinks Cold Beer:"
Roots (C5, C6, C7, C8. T1)
Trunks (Upper, Middle, Lower)
Divisions (Each Trunk divides into an Anterior and Posterior segment)
Cords (Lateral, Medial, Posterior)
Branches (Musculocutaneous, Axillary, Radial, Ulnar, and Median)
Finally, there are two lesions of the brachial plexus that love to be tested on the Boards:
1. Erb-Duchenne Palsy (waiter's tip deformity) - this is due to a strong blow to the top of the shoulder, or a traumatic birth where the shoulder sticks in the birthing canal. This forces causes damage to the C5 and C6 parts of the brachial plexus (upper trunk) thus leading to a limp arm with forearm pronated and palm facing dorsally. (The deltoid, teres minor, supraspinatus, infraspinatus, biceps, and briachialis are paralyzed.)
2. Klumpke's Palsy (claw hand) - this is due to a forcible pull of the arm upwards, like when grabbing onto something when falling (Yes, James Bond and most action heroes probably would have this palsy in real life). This damages C8 and T1 (the lower trunk) which results in the 4th and 5th fingers (mostly) being stuck in a flexed position and the thumb not able to abduct. (The intrinsic hand muscles innervated by the Ulnar nerve are paralyzed.)
That concludes today's lesson.

We went to a farm today so that our daughter could see and feed the animals. The sheep and lambs had enough food in their pasture to not care to be fed. She loved them though and I agree that the little lambs are adorable...
Todays topic on "Our Daily Challenge" is "White" which was rather perfect for the outing we did today.
Day 124 2017 365 (C)
On a freezing, blustery and overcast cast day high up on the Kent Downs the skull found among the grass seemed to add to the melancholic atmosphere.....A Downland Early Spider Orchid - Ophrys sphegodes
And climb black branches up a snow-white trunk
Toward heaven, till the tree could bear no more,
But dipped its top and set me down again.
That would be good both going and coming back.
One could do worse than be a swinger of birches.

Thank you all for your wonderful visits!! Have a great day!!
I am still behind with posting - and keep getting comments saying how I've hit the weekly water theme. However, I'm still posting in the previous week, so any theme-hitting was purely coincidental! Believe it or not I tried to hit the 'recreate a photo' theme with this. Now, the original is in the comments, so you are going to pretty much notice straight away that this a total failure. The photo from Slackpacket has a big barn in it. My shot has no barn in it. That's a pretty big difference. But I think what I was trying to get was one of his big Oregon skies, with a sense of the grandness of the landscape. In fact, this was a bit of scrub near Sunderland right next to the huge Nissan car factory. Anywhere out of this frame and there'd be buildings, car lots and wind turbines. So, lets just say a loose theme interpretation!
I'm just writing this after losing my temper. As I've got older, my musical tastes have got older. Back in the day I used to be cool. Well, not cool, but I listened to some cool stuff. Radiohead, Leftfield, Massive Attack, The Manics and the like. But once it got to 2001 my tastes froze. Nothing that was new, it seemed to me, was as good as the stuff I liked during my golden age. By golden age, I mean when I wasn't old and fat. But this didn't stop me listening to different music, its just my tastes got older as I did. I went through an 80's electronic music phase, then back further into 60's folk. And now, I'm into monks. Chanting monks. Taizé chants, Gregorian chants, that sort of thing. I'm so rock and roll. I've got a Gregorian chant cd which I like to play while driving as it chills me out. But for some reason its got some birds on it. There's these tweeting, chirping birds twittering away on every track and while I could live with it at first, they're driving me mad.
So, I just took delivery of a new Taizé album, which promised me over an hour of peace, tranquility, reflection and serenity. Just what I was after. I got in the car and put it on. But when I stopped driving, I realised I could hear more birds in the background to the music. What is it with birds! I shouted at the cd player and cursed all avian kind. I swore at all things that flapped. I visualised running amok doing battle with all feathered life-forms.The cd was ejected, put it back in the box, thrown over my shoulder into the back and I grumpily got out. Where I heard birds. Real ones, signing, chirping and twittering, just as they're supposed to. Big Bird, Daffy Duck, Chicken Little et al, I owe you all an apology.
It has been raining a lot lately. Today is a bit sunny. Let's hope it stays that way. Fingers Crossed. Have a great day everyone!
my neighbour's yard at Plevna Ontario is adjacent to a body of water with a small set of rapids. steam was rising up off the water when I first woke up and so I grabbed my camera to head out and grab a shot. their four wheeler just seemed to add to the photograph somehow.
