It was all rather rushed last night (to say the least) but I will be more prepared the next time that's for sure! It's the first time I have ever witnessed the NL and they were truly stunning, even if I only got to see the odd sliver of action through the cloud cover. I cannot wait for these majectic lights to return...
My first entry into the pikebubbles / tackyshack accidental multi orb challenge (read the thread from the link!!)... 22 i think I hit. Must try harder got till tuesday so maybe more to come.
Anyone sussed out the title yet???
Shonky wonkey orbs, but what the hell its quantity not quality Ha Ha.
(taken on one exposure, no additions after the exposure. I use aperture3 as a RAW converter and will adjust levels, saturation, white balance, brightness and some minor cropping if required.)

I'm so pleased to finally have my own art studio. What a difference it makes! I'm really looking forward to making some new art work once again - it has been too long...

Léa was given a little French toy character to bring home from school last weekend, the idea being that we document the fun they have had together over the past week - it's all very cute and sweet.
His name is Petit Ours Brun, and he went 'missing' for a few hours the other day. I have a feeling they will never have received a story page quite like the one they are about to get...

I was lucky enough to recently be asked by a very reputable Design Agency to help create the imagery for a very exciting re-branding project.
I can't go into too much detail just yet as there is still a lot of work to be done, but the great news is that I have completed all the work my side which is both a relief and a satisfying accomplishment.
I was working 14 hour days for a while there so I am glad to have a little time back on my hands. It was a fantastic experience, and once I am allowed to I will add a link to my Flickr account to show off their new website and the Little People can finally be shown in all their glory!

I receive a lot of emails asking me where I get my 'Little People' from. Well, I have decided to share a little secret with all of you.
The answer is I catch them using Tic Tacs.

What an incredible experience this was. Watching 20 secondary school pupils create amazing Light Paintings collaboratively.
Such is the nature of this wonderful art form, every singe attendee gave it their all, dropping all inhibitions and absolutely going for it. And I think you will agree, the results are quite simply amazing.

Throughout 2018 I have been busy working on a new photographic project in Scotland using my miniature figurines (the 'Little People').
My main hope is that this new series of photographs will help highlight the plastic / litter epidemic our country (and planet) is suffering from. Littering in general has always sickened me, and the 'Blue Planet II effect' really made me feel like I too could help highlight the issue using my own unique approach.
Earlier this year, I spent several days collecting bags full of plastic and rubbish that had been discarded (or washed up) next to beaches and lochs on the west coast of Scotland, mostly 'beauty' spots. I kept some of this plastic to make my work (recycling the rest) and returned to the banks of Loch Lomond a couple of months ago to photograph my latest series - LIFE IN PLASTIC.
