Taken from the top of Mt. Constitution on Orcas Island, one can see for miles and miles. Though it was a hazy day, the view was nontheless spectacular!
Just one of the many shops (read: tourist traps) on the main drag in Leavenworth. This town really reminded me of my youth: walking up and down the Bavarian streets, shopping, and talking German with the local "leute" (people). We spoke German where we could, but too few of the residents actually spoke German, though many of them understood it. We really had a wunderbare zeit, and hat viel spass g'hapt!
complete with ahi bruschetta oceanside, exploring a natural lava rock pool all by ourselves, and some random naked Canadians because, well, of course. we capped off the day with a wonderful dinner at pita paradise and finding a private beach which was pitch black and terrifying. :)
We lunched at a very Bavarian-style restaurant. The food was almost authentic--and the Bavarian garb was a plus! I had bratwurst, sauerkraut, and a spetzi. Authentic and delicious!
I promise you this photo isn't nearly as lovely as it was in person. The sun shone through like streams of liquid light. It was stunning inside this tree! The tree grows like an umbrella; all the branches hang down and the inside is airy and light.

Photo was taken with a little inspiration from one of my favorite geometry seeing photographers, Bill, and the grace in my mind of Virginia. Thank you so much!!
Sorry if I haven't been to your stream for a couple or a few days! I've gotten so far behind and am working diligently to catch up, but never like to rush when viewing fine art and beautiful photography, so if you haven't heard from me, don't worry... I'll be by for a visit soon!! Missing those of you I haven't made it over to this week!
This one goes out to The Nutty Girls!! You know why. xoxo

Everywhere you turn in this garden, each view is just as lovely as this one. It's a spectacular garden. We both loved it!
Just kidding, I have no idea, I just thought I'd say that since all the kids are into vintage lunch trays.
Sea pottery spotted at Hayward Regional Shoreline
I told Scott to "look cold." I thought it would be funny if I made a face that represented externally how I felt internally in the chilly 38 degree Tacoma weather. What I didn't know - until I got home and looked at the photo's - is that Scott thought to do the same thing. I think it's a great photo!

I've been searching for an appropriate hat to wear while driving our 1930 Hudson, so my wife and I ventured over to Niagara-on-the-Lake to go to BeauChapeau Hat Shop. They are the only place I've found that carries hats for men with large, brainy heads. It was nice to get out for the day, walk around in the sun, and get lunch with my wife, who also got a nice hat for her smaller, brainy head.
