complete with ahi bruschetta oceanside, exploring a natural lava rock pool all by ourselves, and some random naked Canadians because, well, of course. we capped off the day with a wonderful dinner at pita paradise and finding a private beach which was pitch black and terrifying. :)
We couldn't get a really good picture of this milestone in dating because the shake was so good we couldn't stop sipping it!
Day 33:
Sheri and I had a really nice and relaxing day together. Last nights party on the
Queen Mary was so much fun. Got to talk to people whom I have known, but never
really said much to. Which is really my own fault. I tend to close up in larger gatherings
and spend most of my time very quiet. Although last night was not the case.
As I was saying, Sheri and I went out and had a nice day together. Went and saw two
movies at the cheap theater. Some of the movies we never got around to seeing when
they first came out. First we saw Knocked Up and second we saw Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Both were good. In between them we went across the street and
had dinner at this little place, Woodie’s Diner. Good food, good service, nice atmosphere.
Overall a very good day and cheap too. :D
Day 43 - 365 Velvet 56 Project
Instead of setting off straight for home today, I made him take country highways to find a scenic road I read about in the paper. We were sort of in the area already. He really is a good sport.
Just one of the many shops (read: tourist traps) on the main drag in Leavenworth. This town really reminded me of my youth: walking up and down the Bavarian streets, shopping, and talking German with the local "leute" (people). We spoke German where we could, but too few of the residents actually spoke German, though many of them understood it. We really had a wunderbare zeit, and hat viel spass g'hapt!
we had date day . as always it is our chance to let go and love ....
we had so much fun ... we kissed a lot all over the place
i have never loved anyone so much i think ...
There is a place where i end and you begin
where dreams start and life wins
where touch and breath are one
this is the place i fade into you .... Written by Nino Salazar
i do not deserve this i know it ... i met with some of my service buddies
to discuss my stalkers but our talk took an interesting turn
i was told that i was the best of them .. that i was incorruptible that i had more compassion
then the rest of them .. that i maintained my honor ...it was always meant for me to be happy that is why they fought so hard for me and with me ... and will always stand by me
i am humbled
I am flawed really flawed my lack of forgiveness with a few people is not good
i will not be disrespected ... nor will i fold ... i asked for mercy and it was not given
those who set out to hurt me feel i am taking it to hard .. what they have done is nothing
well to them it was nothing ... but to me it was my life they disregarded .. they spit on me
i am learning day by day to let go ... there are days i do not even waste my time
i am not perfect i will lash out if you hurt me ......... anyone would
i was told i should fade away or die ... this from a former love ... and i am the cold one
i want them to live long enough to see that you can't use people .. there is punishment for lies
and setting out to hurt people ... this is the real world
except when i am with Heather ... the world turns red and pink and love abounds in us
i am unyielding in two things love and lack of forgiveness hut you knew this

A stunning twenty acres of hills and valleys, the Kubota Garden features streams, waterfalls, ponds, rock outcroppings, and an exceptionally rich and mature collection of plant material. This unique urban refuge displays over sixty years of vision, effort and commitment by the Kubota family.
In 1927, Fujitaro Kubota bought five acres of logged-off swampland in the Rainier Beach neighborhood of Seattle and began his garden. A 1907 emigrant from the Japanese Island of Shikoku, he established the Kubota Gardening Company in 1923. Fujitaro was a man with a dream. Entirely self-taught as a gardener, he wanted to display the beauty of the Northwest in a Japanese manner and was soon designing and installing gardens throughout the Seattle area. The gardens on the Seattle University campus and the Japanese Garden at the Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island are public examples of his work.
n the thirties, a natural stream was enclosed in a pool and surrounded with maple, pine, iris and stone. In the forties during the Second World War, the garden was abandoned for four years while the Kubota family suffered internment at Camp Minidoka in Idaho. Fujitaro and his sons, Tak and Tom, rebuilt the landscape business after the war and began extensive plantings of nursery stock. Many of these nursery areas are still present today. In the sixties, Fujitaro placed over 400 tons of stone to create the Mountainside with featured waterfalls, reflection pools, carved stones and the plants that he had worked with throughout this life.
In 1972, the Japanese Government awarded Fujitaro Kubota with a rare honor, the Fifth Class Order of the Sacred Treasure, "for his achievements in his adopted country, for introducing and building respect for Japanese Gardening in this area." Fujitaro died in 1973 at age 94. He had always hoped that the garden would one day be open to the public, both to enhance the quality of life in Seattle and to increase America understanding and appreciation of Japanese culture.
When the 20-acre property became a target for condominium developers, community groups encouraged the Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board to designate the 4.5-acre core area of the garden as a Historical Landmark. In 1981, the American-Japanese Garden created by Fujitaro Kubota was declared to be an Historical Landmark of the City of Seattle.
In 1987, thanks to the efforts of many dedicated individuals, the City of Seattle acquired the garden form the Kubota family. The garden is now maintained by the gardeners of the Department of Parks and Recreation and Volunteers. The Open Space Program of the City of Seattle has purchased approximately seventeen acres of land adjacent to the garden to remain as a natural area protection Mapes Creek and the ravine.
