中環美利樓。美利樓前身為英軍軍營，與三軍司令官邸均為香港現存最古舊的西式建築。兩者均於1846年建成，由英國皇家工程兵團奧爾德里奇少校和哥連臣中尉設計。這幢三層高建築物的寬敞露台均由多利期式柱承托，而屋頂則舖上中式瓦片。美利樓於1982年拆卸，以便興建新中國銀行大廈。三千多件樑柱和磚石都獲編號碼以備日後重建。建築物最後於1999年在赤柱重新組裝起來。
Murray House in Central. Together with the Flagstaff House, the old Officers' Mess, as Murray House was originally called, was the oldest surviving western architecture in Hong Kong. Both were completed in 1846 and were designed by Major Aldrich and Lieutenant Collinson of the Royal Engineers. The deep verandahs of the three-storey building were supported by Doric columns, while the roof was covered with Chinese tiles. Murray House was dismantled in 1982 to make way for the new Bank of China building. Over 3,000 building blocks were then labelled and catalogued for future restoration. The building was finally re-assembled in Stanley in 1999.

IMPORTANT NOTES: This outfit is a repackaged version of Julie's Dance Set, which was a 2014 special edition. In 2015, American Girl started to sell the accessories and the outfit separately. The separate accessory set came with a disco ball, a ticket, and a poster, and was known as Julie's Disco Accessories
PERSONAL FUN FACT: I wanted this outfit the moment I learned of its existence! But originally, this dress was marketed as a special edition outfit, so it was very expensive. Having just gotten really back into American Girls when this was new, I was not really comfortable spending so much money on it. I remember marveling at this on display at the American Girl Store, but having to remind myself that I couldn't buy it. I was so grateful when Mattel brought the 2014 special edition outfits back the next year. My guess is that they had loads of overstock, so they were just trying to sell what they had left over. Fortunately, the prices dropped, because the accessories were sold separately instead of with the outfits. I'm really glad that this dress was marked down and sold without the disco ball because it meant that my Julie doll could own it! I actually got this on sale on Cyber Monday 2015--American Girl marked all full priced items down by 20%!!! Even though this outfit is really simple, its quality is very impressive. I think it makes an awesome statement piece on display. I especially love how beautiful my beloved Julie doll looks in it!

The date stone on the Old Lock Up on Torr Street in Gainsborough
The Lock up was built in 1843 and was the first Police Station in the town. It was constructed 16 years before the establishment of the Lincolnshire Constabulary. The building is due to be demolished as Mc Donald’s are constructing a restaurant on the former site of Elite Signs, Elite Workwear, the Garage and Gainsborough Fuels coal yard.

A hillside earth god shrine in Li Po Lung Path, Kennedy Town. Largely destroyed by torrential rain in June 1966, the shrine might trace its origin to the 1894 plague as with the altar at Sheung Fung Lane. Between the 1940s and the 1960s, there were regular celebrations held annually in the nearby Hau Wo Street where puppet shows were staged and sacrifice offered.
