Dating from 1957 and built by Sentinel 4wVB 'Robin' (9628) is pictured at Summerlee - The Museum of Scottish Industrial Life on July 1st 2023.
Dating from the 14th century, the hospitium was part of the estate of St Mary's Abbey in York and is thought to have been used as lodgings on the upper floor for visiting merchants and storage for their goods on the ground floor. The arch, or watergate, to the left would have given direct access to the River Ouse.
After the dissolution of St Mary's Abbey in 1539, the building had various uses until it eventually became derelict. It was restored in the 1828 by the York Philisophical Society for use as storage for their artifacts before the Yorkshire Museum was built further up the hill in 1830.
The building was further restored in 2008 by the Yorkshire Museum Trust and now back to its original use as a hospitality centre, very popular for weddings.

Picked up these “Date Books” by Determined Productions last year. Most feature phototype revivals of wood type, as was popular in the 1960s–70s. I also have a bunch of their small square cookbooks and Peanuts books. Will post soon.
Taken before heading out for a wonderful day at Baltimore's Inner Harbor with a special gentleman. The weather was brisk but sunny, and we had a fabulous seafood dinner overlooking the harbor - very romantic!
I'm busy in front of the vanity mirror, preparing for my special date last night with my lover, Seth Melling!
I asked my husband for his advice on what to wear for a night out at a small, independent theatre production - and he suggested I might try a plain black pencil skirt and semi-sheer white blouse. This was sound advice, as we would be travelling to the theatre in Seth's vintage motorbike and sidecar. I decided to spice up the outfit a little more by adding a pair of white lace gloves, and this 'Matador' picture hat!
I think Melling was rather pleased with what he saw as he rocked up at Lyndon Towers! Kissing my wonderful husband goodbye, I strolled down the steps of our ancestral mansion and into an excitingly new, artistic and bohemian world!

Somewhat up to to date with this look or a bit closer to 2021 than my usual look. Just found a small segment of a youtube video that has me dancing at Chatham dockyard earlier in the year. That was a good indication of how I looked as i didn't really stand out much. I will post a standing up photo of this outfit at some point.
A lunch date at a local Italian restaurant with a dear and beautiful friend Angela. It was great to catch up and spend some quality time together. Friends are so important and very close friends feel like family. Angela is beautiful inside and out, and is so good for my emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
