The drivers control panel inside the Holt end cab of preserved Brush Type 2 (BR Class 31) diesel locomotive number D5631 (later 31162 and 31207) at Sheringham station on the North Norfolk Railway's September Steam Gala on September 2nd 2012.
D5631 was built at Brush Ltd Loughborough in 1960 and was withdrawn from traffic in 2001.
D5631 made an appearance at the gala as a replacement for the unavailable Black 5 45379.
Absolutely adore Class 31's. Cut my young trainspotting teeth on these at Chelmsford station on the GEML in the late 1970s.

A work in progress, this is a real-time sales dashboard for cincottachemist.com.au
The goal is to provide an at-a-glance view on where sales are for the day, trending product and searches and visibility over order queues.
Note: I have set numbers to zero or blurred terms for confidentiality reasons.
Check out the notes above for information on what we're tracking.
I should also give props to Panic. While I have done a few dashboards in my time I definitely took some inspiration from their status screen -- it also motivated me to make some progress on this project.
This is a close up picture of an MCI MC-12 dashboard. The gages from left are: Engine Oil Pressure, Speedometer, Water Temperature (top), Hours Meter (bottom), Supply Air, and Fuel Level. On the lower left side is a group of idiot lights for various coach operation items. On the lower right side from left is: Control Override Switch, Master Switch, & Starter Button. The three dials are Left Wiper, Right Wiper, & Washer Fluid. The bus does have the typical Greyhound starter interlock. The left hand switch panel is nearly identical to an MC-9. I'll try and get a picture of that at some point.
On a lovely winter morning driving from London to the country, I couldn't resist getting my feet out. Take a look at the video on YouTube:
The controls are laid out in a convenient straightforward manner. Though it's hard to see in this photo, the cruise control buttons are on the steering wheel for safe operation while driving.

I took a wide angle shot of my dash a week ago and thought huh, that came out surprising well. But I used another shot for Projec 365 for that day and figured I'd try it again.
Planned to do that today but every damn light was green. Could not sit still long enough to get a great shot.
If you can get a great shot of a VW dashboard.
Day 336 of 365
