Darktable "Filmic RGB" works great!

As I mentioned in another photo, Ana and her fiancee Marco had just gotten engaged and were on their way to a celebration dinner. He was trying to get some photos of her to remember the occasion, but his phone and the weather were not cooperating. I happened to be nearby with a DSLR and an umbrella (!) on a short street photography walk. I talked with them a little and an impromptu photoshoot ensued. This was one of the more casual shots of Ana that I got, but I think I like it best.

Thank you Ana, and I hope some of the photos I took serve you well. Many happy years to you and Marco!

Just my fooling around with a free photo editor called Darktable. I'm rather impressed with what it can actually do and there's tons of options.

Ouch Darktable has quite a learning curve ! But the results are really nice. I was ripping my hairs until I found the new instance smallish icon...

Here I cropped, removed dust spots, corrected the curves to add more depth in the sluggish blacks and a bit more contrast, sharpened a bit, and looked for a barrel distorsion removal but alas didn't find it...

So here you go :)

Sam is what I call a "laps dog". She needs multiple laps to sit on at the same time to be comfortable.
