I can't get enough of all the London plane trees lining the streets all over the south of France (and Catalonia, too!).

cosmos 4 / ? (i think there will be three more)
because of my addiction to technology, i have found an unfortunate side effect of that addiction....and that is, a shorter attention span.
it's terrible...and so, i find myself having the urge to move onto a new photography subject before exhausting all the potential of the current one.
but NO, dammit! i'm pushing myself to post ALL the keeper cosmos shots.
let this be a lesson to my attention deficient mind. sticktoitiveness prevails.
The dusk sunlight breaks through and creates a wonderfully hazy light on the trees on the Northern edges of Ladybower reservoir.
…to our place. A house was leveled and a flood control project was installed years ago. Almost all of the trees and plants seen here grew since the flood control project was completed.
From 2010: Our flood control project was completed a month or so ago and it looks great. Twice now It has prevented flooding in this neighborhood. And with the extremely rainy weather we've had over the past few months, the timing could not have been better. This is the view from the curb at what used to be 2557 Little John Trail SE. The street at the back is Crockett Drive, where the house behind this address was also demolished for this project.

A nod must be given to the wonderful Brooke Shaden, who in part inspired this shot.
Photo of forest vegetation slowly turning brown, backlit by the bright rays of morning sunlight. Picture taken in Gmina Kolbudy, near Gdańsk, Poland.
Gorgeously bright day, Edinburgh very busy with both locals and tourists on a sunny Saturday. Walked through the Grassmarket and found a group holding an open-air Tango session. Dancing right there under the dappled spring sunshine coming through the newly leafy trees, casting a lovely mix of bright light and shade that was just begging for some monochrome shots. Was lovely to see people enjoying themselves like this in the middle of a busy Saturday, right there in a busy square, under the shadow of the Castle.

It's going to sound silly but this editing makes me really uncomfortable! This is not my typical light, not my traditional contrast, and definitely not my typical color palette. But I decided to try to break away from my normal style and do something different since I'd already edited a few photos from this set in my traditional manner and where's the fun in making everything look the same? This time I wanted to do something more along the lines of the faux-70s fashion style. You know, what Instagram aspires to be. Except not Instagram because I hate Instagram.
I'm still not sure if I like it but cheers to trying something different.
The sun was out today so I ventured into the garden for this shot ... I personally don't like the light in this ... all uneven but the sun was beautiful.

I didn't notice that pile of big, metal letters until I posted this to my photoblog a few minutes ago. How about that?

A couple weeks ago I walked over to Durand Eastman Park for my morning reading and prayers. I put the Argus C3 in the daypack. The sun was filtering through the trees most delightfully. I took several photographs around me from where I was sitting as the light changed, and one more straight up.

This is the doorway at St Mary's Church, Broomfield in Essex. It's a stone's throw from where I live and I pass by it every day on my journey to work.I have photographed this doorway before and the other photograph can be viewed by clicking on the link below:

This morning the light was dappling through the tree branches and there was frost on the roof tiles. The little letterbox on the door has a message that reads "Post your prayer requests in here and we will pray for you". I thought that was lovely!

Dappled light on an old oak in Daley Ranch, San Marcos, California.
I am drawn to the vignette of the branches and leaves on the left side of the main trunk, but I don't feel like the image is balanced. The uncropped image was worse, so at least this is an improvement, but i'm still thinking about this one...

One of many peaches ripening on our big fruit tree. It's the best year ever for this tree. I'm hoping the squirrels and yellow jackets don't destroy them as they've done in the past.
