These bike racks are pleasing to the eye and their practial. Just like most of Danish design. You just rest your handlebars on them and they are staggered in height so the next bike doesn't get in your way.

Pretty tins with cheerful flowers, made by ira Denmark.

at Hotel Fox...

..a clever ad campaign by VW involved opening this centrally located (and decently priced) hotel w/ rooms individually designed by different artists.

We've put up a thin curtain in the bedroom to divide up the room in a funky way.

Fancy apartment building on the new waterfront. The architects were inspired by cruise-ships.

Don't know how I feel about this, Danish Broadcasting's provincial HQ in Aarhus. But in a way it's cool.

I thought my temporary workspace looked really nice as the spring sun was shining through the window, so I decided to snap a pic :)

while there is much to like about copenhagen, i found the elegance of the pared down design most compelling. perhaps this is true of scandinavian design in general. but these were real visual treats.

Now THIS is a bike rack. A little roof to park your seat under in case it rains. Fantastic.

There are so many different bike racks here in Copenhagen, some with ways to cover the seat, but this is just cool.

A wonderfully illustrated scene takes center stage on this wall plaque designed by Danish artist Bjorn Wiinblad for Rosenthal. Here. a couple is getting ready for theater season in September.

I picked this one up at a recycle shop for only $35. I'm going to upholster the pillows because they're a bit too vintage to my taste.
