I thought this was funny. I wish I had a birdie who wore his baseball cap backwards as my guardian angle.
The old landing stage now sits next to the brand new cruise terminal which has just opened at the Pier Head. Sadly it looks like it has been condemned, it's just a haven for birds now.
This is Malcesine a town in the Veneto region of Italy on Lake Garda. We got a bus from Garda to get here (a bendy bus).
Thought I might as well get one danger / warning sign all in Italian.
A faded warning sign along the banks of the Frio River, immediately downstream of Garner State Park, cautions 'Danger Deep Water'. Just a few hundred feet upstream, the river is wide and shallow, passing over rough gravel, where you'll only end up getting your ankles wet. But then the river takes a turn to the right as it carves deeply into the side of Old Baldy, which rises a few hundred feet above the riverbed. At the bend, the relentless erosion of the water cuts a deep channel.

The basic fluxgate compass is a simple electromagnetic device that employs two or more small coils of wire around a core of highly permeable magnetic material, to directly sense the direction of the horizontal component of the earth's magnetic field. The advantages of this mechanism over a magnetic compass are that the reading is in electronic form and can be digitised and transmitted easily, displayed remotely, and used by an electronic autopilot for course correction. According to me mom a fluxgate is a gate going into Mr Fluxes garden :-)
This has always been a dangerous area that stands along a non-playing side of Prestwick Golf Club. The sand is, obviously, used for the sand bunkers around the course!
However, young school children are often found playing here ~ rolling down, jumping down, sliding down that hill of sand despite the warnings and on many occasions the arrival of local police!

Sign on the way up the hill to the 10,000 Buddhas, Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong.
Danger:
The areas in the vicinity of this sign are subject to landslip risk. Some squatter huts have been recommended for clearance. Locations of the affected squatter huts are available from the Geotechnical Engineering Office at 2760 5715. Please stay away from the areas during the Landslip Warning Signal, Typhoon Signal No. 8 or heavy rains. For locations of temporary shelters; you may call the Enquiry Hotline of Home Affairs Department at 2835 1473
The English half of the sign reads: "When ice falls, pieces are thrown violently dozens of meters away. This action caused the death of 32 persons between 1968 and 1988. DANGER ~ NO TRESPASSING"
Indeed, be aware of wayward golf balls and groundsmen's vehicles when crossing this threshold onto Old Prestwick Golf Course!!

Talk about mixed signals! On the front of this truck, a lovely Christmas wreath, and on the back, one of those "we reserve the right to shoot you dead" signs.
An Angolan deminer has left his safety helmet and protective vest in the 'safe area'. Just beyond is a potentially mined forest. Luena. Angola.

Snapped this elderly couple the other day at the Jupiter inlet. I wish I had positioned them (and the sign) a little more to the right, but otherwise, I like it. Also, I probably could have gotten a little closer, but this was a on-the-fly pic as we were walking back to the car.
