I loved the expression on this boy’s face as he was Irish Dancing at the Belfast Fleadh.

A gorgeous, unfurling fern found in the forest. It looked as though it was having a little dance for joy! 💚

Glad we have some live music in the park. Only in the summer and once a month but as always it is good to know that there is enough people to come so the bands have enough to play for. It is free to come and I think for the musicians too.

The life-sized sculpture ‘Dancer’ (2019) presents a Brazilian dancer during an 'off' moment. Resigned, and with her eyes closed, she is smoking a cigarette in an old Chesterfield chair. Her exuberant clothing, with an impressive crown of plumes, contrasts sharply with the performer who is not performing and taking a quiet moment for herself. The sculpture expresses a frozen, silenced cheerfulness.

Captured at Dancing Ledge in Dorset

Yayoi Kusama's oversized plant figures appear to take on animal and even human characteristics, at once playful and imposing. Segmented so that it is balancing on three of its eleven legs, evoking a massive spider or octopus, Dancing Pumpkin seems poised to creep away into the surrounding landscape.

I have only taken photos of the northern lights along, long time ago.

I noticed some of the lights in the city and quickly got in my vehicle and took a quick road trip out of town. Unfortunately, I forgot my tripod. I had to up the ISO and use my vehicle to steady myself.

Lots of noise but still an enjoyable experience.

Tag 21

Today I'll let my hips rotate again, because it would be too bad for this great shot. :) My model had a lot of fun, I was lying on the floor with full body effort and laughed half to death. D Even the two hikers who just happened to pass by found the scene visibly amusing, they greeted briefly and continued to walk around with a grin. Now this great moment is captured forever. :)

Day 21

The Vanity Ballroom in Detroit was originally designed by Charles Agree and opened in 1929. It is an Art Deco building with an Aztec Theme and was used primarily for Big Bands until the 1960's. It had a 5,000 foot maple dance floor that was built on springs to support the many dancers that would be there. Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, and Duke Ellington, among others, frequented here during its heyday. It originally closed in 1958, reopened as a concert venue in 1964 and later was used to host concerts by Detroit acts such as the MC5. There used to be stores all along the front, including Cunningham Drugs Store, which was a big chain of stores in Detroit.

"Dancing Queen" Dandelion is a weed, might be used for salad if you like it's bitter taste..

However it was "Dancing Queen" for me yesterday at the other end of my 105mm macro lens;)

Getting ready for the stage

Laila dancing... I think she's doing the Black Bottom or the Shimmy (both are dances from the 20's).

This was fun to do, and a bit scary XD The mister took the pics while I posed her and then stayed nearby each time to catch her if she tried to fall (which she did try to do several times!). These were inspired by her new dress :) I've wanted this dress for ages and I'm so glad I finally have a girl it fits. I even found a pic in one of my pattern catalogues from the 20's that looks basically just like this dress <3

Back to the coast, I had planned

on going to Corfe castle this morning as the weather forecast predicted a strong chance of mist but as I got closer to my destination I could see no mist. Plan B was to go to a place I had been to once during the summer in the middle of the day. Climbing down on to Dancing Ledge while it was still dark was going to be a bit of a challenge.

They say oh my god I see the way you shine

Take your hand, my dear, and place them both in mine

You know you stopped me dead while I was passing by

And now I beg to see you dance just one more time

Ooh I see you, see you, see you every time

And oh my I, I, I like your style

You, you make me, make me, make me wanna cry

And now I beg to see you dance just one more time

So they say

Dance for me, dance for me, dance for me, oh, oh, oh

I've never seen anybody do the things you do before

They say move for me, move for me, move for me, ay, ay, ay

And when you're done I'll make you do it all again

I said oh my god I see you walking by

Take my hands, my dear, and look me in my eyes

Just like a monkey I've been dancing my whole life

But you just beg to see me dance just one more time

Ooh I see you, see you, see you every time

And oh my I, I like your style

You, you make me, make me, make me wanna cry

And now I beg to see you dance just one more time

I've never seen anybody do the things you do before

They say move for me, move for me, move for me, ay, ay, ay

And when you're done I'll make you do it all again

Ooh

Woah-oh, woah-oh, oh

Ooh

Ah ah, ah

They say

Dance for me, dance for me, dance for me, oh, oh, oh

I've never seen anybody do the things you do before

They say move for me, move for me, move for me, ay, ay, ay

And when you're done I'll make you do it all again

All again

I came across this theatre in Cuba, and when I went in there were dance rehearsals going on. No-one paid any attention to me, so I was able to take some photographs there.

Yesterday I went on a little tour for taking macro pictures and sunsets with my neutral density filter. It worked very well so you'll definitely get a sunset picture soon :D

I hope you like this photo - I tried something new as you can see ;)

I heard a bull frog behind me in the culvert. Turned around and there was not one, but two!! At first I thought they were mating, but then somebody got very annoyed and they just went at each other. Standing on their legs in the water, wrapping their arms around each other and swaying back and forth as if they were dancing. Never saw anything like it. They probably danced for thirty seconds. In the end one disappeared never to be seen again.
