A Daimler W type chassis charabanc operated by E.H. Crinage of Ventnor on the Isle of Wight. This charabanc has been specially fitted with giant pneumatic tyres.
The three buildings designed by RRP for Daimler Chrysler on Berlin's Linkstraße form part of the the Potsdamer Platz masterplan by Renzo Piano. B8 is predominantly residential, with retail areas on the ground, first and second floors.
In the original masterplan the three buildings are shown as closed blocks measuring c. 50 m square, but the RRP design opens up the south-east side of the blocks facing the park. This building form allows light to penetrate into the courtyard, atrium and internal spaces, as well as providing all flats with unobstructed views out over the park.

An old Matchbox livery meets an old Tomica casting which by some miracle is still in production despite being first launched in 1977! I unashamedly snatched as many as I could find whilst out in Japan as they were so easy to find and were so cheap, often costing well under 2.00.
Still called a "London Bus" even though as we all know by now this Daimler Fleetline with its Jumbo bodywork actually saw use in Hong Kong only. After nearly 50 years the mold shows no sign of age nor does it appear to have been particularly cost cut in the same way most old Mattel products have. Lots of metal content and it still possesses that famous working suspension.

Deutsches Museum / Verkehrszentrum München 2021 - Daimlers' fourth car model, about 150 units were built. 2 cyl., 762 ccm, 2.5 PS @ 700 rpm, 20 km/h
Okayyyy not the best photo ever taken by a long chalk. East Staffs District Council buses (the successor to Burton Corporation) parked up in Bass Brewery Car Park. Date unknown, although the four open platform Daimler's in the centre were withdrawn from service in the town in 1981, while the East Lanc's-bodied Atlantean on the right (the only model in shot that passed into Stevenson's of Uttoxter hands when they took over the bus service) was - if my memory serves me correctly - part of a batch of 'S' plates: So I'd say late '77 to early '81.

The 1901 16hp Daimler produced at Coventry.
The Daimler Motor Co was founded by Gottleib Daimler about 1886 in Cannstatt in Germany.
Richard Simms, a young British engineer was much impressed with Daimler engine and acquired the Daimler patents to British empire in 1890. Harry Lawson bought these from Simms in 1896 and he formed The Daimler Motor Syndicate, and so two Daimler motor companies were formed, in Germany and England, each being totally independent of each other. The English company built the first Daimler in Coventry in 1897. The company built Daimlers at Coventry until about the 1970s, and today just exists in name badge form.
