We were expecting around 20 classic cars but there were only 5 at the local Rotary fun walk.

Nevertheless the owners were quite friendly and we had an enjoyable afternoon.

Can anyone in the know shed a little more light? This was a perfect vintage Daimler/Jaguar. The Brown, Brown and Browner. Not to mention the pinstriped tyres too. The Canvas sunroof is a nice touch.

At the weekend, we visited CW Sellors’ new “National Gemstone and Jewellery Design Centre” on the shores of Carsington Water, on the edge of the Derbyshire Peak District National Park. The first “Gem” that caught my eye was this beautifully restored Daimler SP250 sportscar, a classic 1960’s roadster.
