A preserved 1947 Daimler CVG6 with Northern Coachbuilders bodywork (H30/26R) in the livery of Northampton Transport.
New to Northampton in June 1947.
Seen in Dunstable, probably early 1970s. LXJ66G was on the road for sixteen years from March 1969 with 4520VR no longer bothering the DVLA.
Scanned from a 6x6cm size negative taken by Bruce Turvey, now in my collection.
As half-cab buses were getting a bit scarce by December 1983, Thamesdown used two of its 1967 Daimler CVG6s on some interesting routes one Saturday.
Normally these would only have been used on school services. They weren't really 'old' just outmoded due to the switch to one person operation.

Another update, the last of the year!
Basically, I redid most of it in order to be able to use the larger wheels. Corrected a ton of mistakes from the previous and improved the structural strength.
Assigned it to the Recce Regt. of the 49th Infantry ( The Polar Bear Butchers ) that fought alongside the 8th Arm.
Hope you like!
Happy New Year!
Until 2007 the most luxurious editions of Jaguar (outside the USA) wore the Daimler brand. A little confusing because the English Daimlers have nothing in common with the German cars from Daimler (Mercedes-Benz), except for their namegiver Gottlieb Daimler (1834-1900). This generation of the Daimler, based on the Jaguar XJ40, was built between 1986 and 1994. It has a 4.0 litre 5-cylinder engine.
