Some action from Palmerfest. A weekend whitewater clinic near Bancroft, Ontario. Palmer Rapids; to be more specific.
The first latex weapon I made. Not so bad, but with time I finally got some experience. It was more a test (now I know that using a sharp exacto is a must). Finally the dagger was okay so I decided to keep it. When you use a sharp exacto the cutting is better and there are almost no little dots on the weapon.
My friend and bandmate Collin and his wife Meghann. Photo for their Christmas card this year. They had a different one they chose for their family. This one went to friends.

Cottonwood Dagger Moth (Acronicta lepusculina)-Foodplants are cottonwood and willow. Daggermoths get their name from the sharp black lines in the forewing markings of many species. This subfamily includes some of eastern North America's most interesting caterpillars, intriguingly variable in form, color, and degree of hairiness. This one was photographed on Sam's Slope Management Area.
"Dagger" after another 90 minutes or so of work tonight. With apologies to Mark Brooks, I think it's progressing nicely.
The best match for this Dagger Moth appears to be Pleasant Dagger Moth (Acronicta laetifica). Plainsboro Preserve.
