[Io] non sono che numero,
nato per vivere da bruto
Il gravido autunno mi rimorde e mi rimprovera
e mi fa voltolare il naufrago turbine di pensieri;

The Normandy Invasion began on June 6, 1944 and was a complete allied assault that originated from the southeastern Great Britain coast line and crossing the English Channel. This was single handedly the largest combined assault against the Germans throughout all of World War II. The assault involved mostly Great Britain, the United States, and Canada onto the beaches of Normandy. The assault began the air raids which were then followed by the newest tactics of using parachute dropped soldiers and also the glider landings in the darkness of the early morning. Before the early sunrise the beaches code named “Utah,” “Omaha,” “Gold,” “Juno,” and “Sword” were bombarded by a joint naval strike of both the U.S. Navy and Great Britain’s Royal Navy. Once dawn approached amphibious crafts dropped millions of soldiers and marines alike onto all five beaches in order to secure the landing of the Allied forces. Out of the five beaches, the two bloodiest and most well-known were Utah and Omaha beach. The beaches of Normandy were secured at the cost of 12,000 out of 156,000 troops, but even then Normandy itself was not entirely secured until two months later. D-Day paved the way for the Allied forces to establish a stronghold in France and later liberate Paris.

Canto d'autunno
Presto c’immergeremo nelle fredde tenebre;
Tutto l’inverno in me s’appresta a rientrare;
ira, odio, brividi, orrore duro e forzato
Rabbrividendo ascolto ogni ceppo che crolla;
Sii madre anche a un ingrato, anche a un perfido;
Compito breve! La tomba aspetta: è avida!
Ah! lasciami, la fronte sulle tue ginocchia, gustare,
rimpiangendo l’estate bianca e torrida,
il giallo, dolce, ultimo raggio autunnale!

Finally got my most-wanted Zelf! I got a good deal on him because his packaging was damaged. Since I (almost) always debox my toys anyway, I try to keep an eye out for that sort of thing. As you can see, one of his horn-ears is imperfect, but I don't mind. It makes him look like he's been In a fight or two, ha. Because of his horn-ears (let's be honest, they're ears) and fur tail, I've decided he's a fox. :^) Or maybe a Firey goblin from "Labyrinth".

I finally got 28 mm in my digi.
I had been using 35 mm since 1979 till 1990 around.
I began to take jpegs since around 1999.
I had bought 4 plastic compact digital cameras.
SONY MVC-FD88K --- 1.3M model 35-280 mm
SANYO DSC-MZ1 --- 2M model 35-105 mm
SONY DSC-W5 --- 5.1M model 38-114 mm
Panasonic DMC-LX1 --- 8.4M model 28-114
When I was shooting with film I had been using 20 mm - 200 mm with 2X tele-converter.
20 mm f 3.5
35 mm f 2 and 1.4
105 mm f 2.5
200 mm f 4
I had been using these set for a long time.
I got 50 mm much later.
50 mm f 1.8, 1.2, 1.4
55 mm f 3.5 ( micro lens )
in 1988 I got Olympus OM1
soon I changed my set to Olympus.
All those were the used ones.
50 mm f 1.8, 1.4
28 mm f 3.5
135 mm f 3.5
100 mm f 2
and OM2, OM1-n
I got my disease in 1992 December.
Then I had forced to quit my photography.
........
D.D.D.
I love 28 mm very much.
I needed a camera and 300 mm lens in 1979.
I checked some monthly camera magazines in 1978.
I checked the shooting data of that I liked.
I soon found Leica M-type and I loved 28 mm.
and I found that D.D.D. were using 28 mm 50 mm 135 mm.
300 mm lens was too much expensive for me.
so I bought 200 mm.
and later, I bought 35 mm and 105 mm.
and after that I bought 20 mm.
When I was using 35 mm I wanted 28 mm and 50 mm.
When I was using 105 mm I wanted 85 mm and 135 mm.
When I was using 200 mm with 2X tele-converter I wanted high speed lens.
When I was using 20 mm I wanted 24 mm and 18 mm.
........
single lens compact plastic digi
I am shooting with digital now.
All those my digital cameras had no single lens.
When I was using ultra-compact zoom lens I always wanted slight distortions.
and I seldom use its zooming lever.
I am not so diligent person.
When I was using my W5 I was always shooting with 38 mm.
When I was using my LX1 I was always shooting with 28 mm.
and now
I want a digi that starts its zoom from 21 mm and 50 mm.
or, single lens compact plastic digi with 50 mm f 2 or 2.8 and 21 mm f 3.5.
After 2 or 3 or several years those kind of digis might be sold on a market probably.

........
Why ?
Why I take photos ( including jpgs ) ?
probably,
I'm not so diligent person.
If I were a honest person I would be a painter.
Why I take jpgs ?
Jpgs were merely the 0101 fake data.
I am rather a frivolous person.
The fakes were just fitting to me very much.
Why I set the manual focussing on 1 meter ?
yes,
most of all my jpgs should be taken under the 3 or 7 meter setting plainly.
but I always set the manual focussing on 1 meter naturally.
I just simply aiming at the person in 1 meter.
Why I shoot the persons on a street ?
no,
I love also to take the scenery very much in alone.
Why I take photos ( only jpgs ) again ?
It's just simply from my monetary reasons.
...
famous American photographer died
about 20 ( ? ) years ago
I heard it from the morning TV news or something.
It was that that some famous American photographer died or fell down in a convenient store or somewhere.
at then,
he had only 5 cent ( 15 cents ? ) in his pocket.
If its famous American photographer could have a plastic compact digital camera what kind of digital fake 0101 data did he present for us ?
...
the word " photographer "
When I heard the word " photographer " I always think about him immediately.
The digital photography needs only a little money of upkeep.
He could take more than 1.000 jpgs every day.
even me, I could take 900 jpgs within 3 hours.
and of course,
jpgs need no money for its development.
...
by Raw data ? eat the raw fish ?
? what ?
What did you say ?
Did you take digital fakes by Raw data ?
Oh, no !
Do you know this ?
These were the only 20 or 30 years ago in conversations.
" I like Sashi-mi very much. "
" What's sa-shi-mi ? "
" It's a raw fish. "
" ddddd.. Do you eat the raw fish ? "
" Oh, no ! "
" You are the savage ! "
but some intellectuals who were called the knowledge people had begun to eat raw fish in these 30 years in some part of the world.
but those were the minority parties.
...
Japanese fish dealer
and now,
the Chinese had begun to eat the raw fish in these 10 years.
We killed many Chinese people in that war.
The Chinese hate the Japanese still now naturally.
but they had already known the taste of the raw fish plainly.
The China had 1.500,000,000 China people.
They began to eat the raw fish enthusiastically.
soon or later,
the Japanese fish dealers could buy any fish no more.
...
died on a road in alone though
?
What had I been saying about ?
oh yes, it's about the Raw data.
If that famous American photographer were still alive did he use the plastic compact digital camera ?
or,
even if he died on a road in alone though did he say that " I shoot only film ! " ?
or
" I don't wanna eat a raw fish ! "
" I'm not a savage ! "

I took around 900 jpgs at this hospital day as usual.
totally,
I couldn't eat a Christmas cake so so.
by the way
the most of all Japanese were the Buddhist.
and most of the Japanese love to eat Christmas cakes on Christmas.
but we don't have a habit to eat a whale meat and a turkey meat plainly indeed.
probably,
the most of the Japanese would never eat a turkey meat till the end of their diligent or frivolous days.
even if it were entirely being cooked enough though.
and Yokohama today was a very calm Winter day.

Mike D doing his thing under the night sky.
Finally got back under the night sky after what seems a lifetime away. An unusually warm New England December night (57 degrees). The sound of the waves and stiff breeze was a nice change of pace. Here's a view from the Jamestown Wharf, as expected pretty empty - I'm looking north from Jamestown and wind blown clouds moving quickly by.

Dimensions:
