This is where the Tuross Lake runs out to the ocean. The outlet narrows, thanks to the sandbars, to about 10m across and as such the current is very strong here. Sweeps you along at about 5-6 knots; if you're not paying attention you could quickly get swept out through the surf in the rip at this point.
You can also see the salt spray being blown over Tuross Beach/sandbar on the left of frame. The visibility was pretty poor this morning because there was so much salt spray in the air.

The original wooden maker has been replaced and this is what his headstone looks like now. He passed away February 27, 1916 at the age of 40, while fighting in the first World War. His resting place is in Belgium. Before my own grandfather passed, he was able to make the trek to visit his father's resting place. Unfortunately, he never got to know his father.

My current Project. I am taking an old coffee table that has had the top laminet ripped off (by yours truely) and am modgepodgeing old random photographs I had in a box onto the top. In the end it will look like photographs are spread across the table, but will be covered in gloss, so they wont be damaged!
