By chance, or perhaps not so, many of my recent CD purchases have been by young and/or up-and-coming female artists, from a wide variety of backgrounds. Here are four I've been listening to a lot in the last few weeks:
Malian singer-songwriter Fatoumata Diawara
Versatile Indian vocalist Anandi Bhattacharya
Voudou Rocker Moonlight Benjamin (from Haiti) and
"American Primitive" instrumentalist Gwenifer Raymond (she's from Wales!)

Currently in the process of switching insurance and had to undergo a health check-up this morning. Here I am getting blood drawn. I didn't think to get a classy shot of my urine sample. Sorry, fellow flickrites, such is life.
Taken in Palau where current is pretty strong and diver's have to use a reef hook to stay still at one place and watch sharks, the bubbles were coming from other diver's in our group. Its actually surprising on how the camera was able to auto focus on the diver despite the bubbles. If you would notice there is a second diver at the back...
