Doesn't the current look like a snake here? I like to imagine it sneaking out into the water to attack those people in the distance. Weird thing to like imagining, but you see enough monster movies, it makes sense.

As part of our Senior Capstone for the Information School, our team wanted to create a social network (because it was the cool thing to do in 2006). We saw a problem with "just adding friends" and instead opted to created a special interest network that integrated with the physical space.
After going through many ideas, we sought to help and improve the conference and trade show event experience. Amazing relationships are formed during these events and helping manage them to improve future event meet ups was something worth exploring.
Hayton Cumbria is currently running a scarecrow festival and competition trail . The results range from the cute and cuddly to the downright disturbing! :D Funds raised will be split between the Eden Valley Hospice and the Hayton Community Project. Sorry to the ones I missed, it was a flying visit!

Some of my drosera are currently experiencing an unusual blight in which some (so far not all) fronds emerge and/or become pale and underdeveloped (with absent or incompletely formed tentacles). Impacted plants are spread throughout the collection, and coexist with healthy ones; more than one species is affected. Examination of the plants under magnification suggests no evidence of parasites (or obvious parasite damage), and the growing conditions have been the same for some months without incident. (They are being given ROF water, and I have verified that the TDS levels are low. They also get plenty of light, as evidenced by the plants' healthy neighbors.) I hope to get to the bottom of this....
