Useful comparison of the two - I prefer this one because the blacks are blacker somehow and the light areas are lighter, but this is actually a better photo using the 24-70L ISO400 and f5.6
metalwork curl on a trellis in abandoned garden of empty house - given a blue tint and 'glamour' look filter.
pale green curled quinoa germination sprouts stuck on the side of the cooking pot...I scraped them off...lol...too good to waste!
Tengo el pelo entrecortado y algunos pelos individuales sobresalen de los rulos, al tacto se sienten Ôsperos! No sé que hacer! Creo que la próxima luna llena me voy a cortar un poco las puntas y ver si mejoran!
I don't know what's going on with my hair. Some individual hairs are coming out of the curl and many of them are pin straight! I don't know what to do! I think next full moon I'm going to trim it a bit and hope for the best!

I had a really curly part in my hair when I took this (evidently this part of my hair), and I thought it was really pretty!
The Rip Curl Pro International Surfing Competition held at Bells Beach Victoria Australia was supposed to run from 28th March to 8th April 2018. We went on the last day on 8th April and found the competition finished three days earlier. It is quite disappointing as there was no obvious announcement about its early finish. We were not the only party missing the event, there were other interested visitors having the same fate. As a result, we photographed the practising amateur surfers instead.

I wanna live
with a cinnamon curl
I could be happy
the rest of my life
With a cinnamon curl.
Cinnamon, probably my favorite spice...
Adobe Lightroom is giving me a whole new (and creative) perspective on my collection. This shot was a dull brown and not nearly as good as my previous cinnamon shot last year. However, in Lightroom, I Was able to be more creative with it, darkening the interiors of the sticks (they were a distraction) and creating a surface shot with texture and shape as the main feature.
I did also re-color it with a more genuine cinnamon color for fun, but I'm liking this B&W treatment.
I smell a purchase of Lightroom coming soon...
Today I had my first official solo photoshoot at one of the local hair salons. I'm really happy with the shots I was able to take. The weather was beautiful so I was able to also shoot my models outdoors as well as indoors with my new backdrop stand. I shot almost entirely with natural light (with the exception of my speedlite which I used sparingly for fill). I took over 900 photos, filling all three of my CF cards. I'm quickly realizing that I need to get another card for shoots like this.
