September 2008. The color is a tad darker red than I like now, but it looks so healthy.
I'm drooling over old photos of my short curls, trying to convince myself it's a great idea to cut my hair again.
Taken for my Project 365. Your comments give me the will to continue, so come on: say something!

A girl curled up and snoozing in a green chair beside a pond in the Tuileries Garden in Paris. Her oversize cup of coffee is nearby.
A tight crop to show that amazing curl that I had the good fortune of capturing! Think of how small that tiny sequence of events is to cause that intricate design.

I finally have a quick curl Skipper in my collection. She's wearing the cutest outfit made by Debrascloset on Etsy
Whitetail Buck Lip Curling ( "I smell Pie :-)" )
When you see rutting bucks in Autumn with their nose upward and upper lip quivering, it can only mean one thing. They are smelling the air to determine if any estrous Does (in heat) are in their vicinity and ready to breed.
This is commonly known as a 'lip curl'. In some circles it's referred to as the 'Flehmen Response' (named after a German biologist who first noted the behavior). The behavior has a very specific function: it allows Bucks to better detect scent.
Physiologically, what’s happening is fascinating. The curled lip helps the Buck expose the vomeronasal organ in the roofs of their mouth. They’re actually sucking air across this organ, which is so sensitive that it can pick up individual molecules of scent. Bucks will also display this behavior when they come across a spot where an estrous Doe has urinated.

Every Christmas my father-in-law gives his granddaughters a teddy bear. We call them, "Papa Bears". This is my daughter's 13th "Papa Bear", his name is Curls.
My Magic Curls has straightened hair and looks fabulous ! She still has little curls on the end of her hair but her usual afro style is changed. I love her original hairstyle more but my doll was played with and looks better like this. If I get one in mint condition I would't play with her hair at all ...
She is dressed in adorable vintage looking hand-made dress my friend Linda gave me time ago. I usually redress my repros in that but how awesome it fits superstars too !
A wave curls over, backed by the amber Pacific sunset, at La Jolla Cove.
This sunset was taken the same night as my previously uploaded wallpaper calendar image, just a handful of minutes earlier. You can see that in this shot the sun is still peaking above the horizon. You'll notice that the presence of the strong light from the sun really increases the contrast of the entire scene, as opposed to the previous image.
