Perfect conditions for lightpainting with a very long exposure @ Nth Curl Curl.
This shot I used a blue gel on torch for the foreground rocks & a orange gel
on the monument then let the camera go for near 20 minutes.
Single shot straight from the camera with a little noise reduction done.

Took this with an old m42 Takumar 50mm f1.4 lens. I also used several m42 extension tubes to get in close. Turned out to have a much thinner depth of field than I was hoping for but I'm happy with the final result.

As much as I love flowers as they first bloom, this stage has taken first place for me; I just love the stripes on the curls.

Not sure what these flowers are, but I was fascinated by the colour and the beautiful, curled petals. These are just two of several flowers in a cluster at the top of a very tall stem. This plant was growing at the Reader Rock Garden just over two weeks ago.
Right so I'm curled up in the corner, but this is yet another traditional example of a photo where I'm not looking at the camera...

It is generally rare to uncommon, but regularly seen at several localities, including the Tambopata National Reserve in Peru, the Noel Kempff Mercado National Park in Bolivia, and the Cristalino State Park in Brazil. Its natural habitat is tropical moist lowland forests.
