The curl-crested aracari (Pteroglossus beauharnaesii), also known as the curly-crested aracari. A member of the toucan family and native to the Amazon basin of South America. This one lives in the Dan Moran Aviary at the OKC Zoo. Our beautiful world, pass it on.

North Curl Curl tidal pool this morning, before a smog from back-burning in the National Parks to the West enveloped the entire Northern Beaches.
Took a walk on the beach today at lunch. It was windy and cold, but the light was decent.
This is nice in color, but I kept coming back to the mono. The tree is so strong and the lines so interesting (to me anyways).
It's just more moody this way :)

I've been playing with florabella textures all morning and I couldn't begin to tell you what all I used but I know I used the milk and honey overlay, how soft and dreamy :) These textures are so fun and Shana's tips and tricks are a wonder!
Thursday 9th of November did not disappoint. Waves of 25 feet plus was entering the cove and the atmosphere was quite simply awesome.
Picking out and tracking waves with my 100-400 was challenging to say the least and it was not safe on the beach either with those pesky breaking waves on the shoreline. Shooting conditions were brutal...
Captured handheld at 400mm I was pleased with some of the shots I came away with. Although going through close to 2k shots not so much fun...

I was taking a photo of the insides of a tulip when I noticed this little curl and photographed it instead. :)
