I went to look for the Atlas comet this evening but no luck. The sky was generally quite clear but some clouds where the comet might have been. So a shot from earlier in the day when I went on a fungi hunt. This may be the Blistered Cup Fungus or the rarer Polydesnia Pruinosa, but I don't know really.

Staff in starbucks coffee saw I was sketching so they as me if I would do it for them on paper cup. That was really fun to draw on a curve surface ! The idea was to sketch what we can see from the coffee shop when looking outside.

French pressed jamaican blue mountain coffee. One of the best cups of coffee I've ever had.

Not sure what kinda cup fungi this is called? Feeling too lazy to check it's identification.

Got some funny looks yesterday whislt taking images of fungi. One guy said "are you sure you should be carrying all that camera gear & lying on the floor whislt heavily pregnant"? I just can't help myself with all this abundance of fungi, won't get the chance when the little one arrives. Only 6 weeks until D-day yikes!!!

For Macro Monday Theme: Natural Light

After a whole weekend of clouds and rain, the sun finally came out. On the way home stopped at Butterbridge, Scotland to take some shots of the waterfalls. While walking around I remembered a story about pixie cups, that I heard recently on a hike in this area. It wasn't difficult to find them. Pixie cups are lichens (Cladonia genus). They are often called like that, because pixies drink dew from them in the morning. As it was mid afternoon the dew has been already drunk by the pixies, so I decided to refill them ;)
