Claret Cup Cactus
Haven't been posting for awhile---as my Mom would say, "When it rains, it pours".
I'm waiting for a new camera (Canon EOS 7D Mark II) to arrive this week and while I'm excited about it, I do miss my old Canon, my old buddy, my old friend.
Additionally, my 8-year-old Mac is at the end of its life and is not cooperating much anymore.
And I fell again.
All overshadowed by the fact that I have a new granddaughter!!!
Life goes on.
Echinocereus triglochidiatus Engelm.
aka Claret Cup, Claret Cup Cactus, Hedgehog Cactus, Kingcup Cactus, Mojave Mound.
Observed in areas of granite outcroppings.
Mason County, Texas, USA; April 4, 2016.
