Silver cup used at Roman dinner parties decorated with pairs of male lovers, scenes not uncommon in Ancient Rome.
This is how the Odeon cinema at London's Leicester square has been decorated with. At the top, beams of rotating lights shoot out into the square, lighting up the colourful autumn leaves. At a level above the entrance, the Triwizard Cup can be seen. On each side of the cinema (not seen in the photo) the billboards for the film are displayed.
Ostrich egg cup (ostrich egg, silver-gilt, enamel; height 29 cm); probably French or South German, around 1400. The body of the cup, which comes from the former Benedictine monastery of St Veit at Herrieden near Ansbach in Franconia, consists of an ostrich egg. Ostrich eggs were highly prized as exotic rarities both in the secular world of Kunstkammer and cabinets of curiosities and in ecclesiastical contexts. The Gothic mount of the present cup, with its spiral cap, chain and adoring angels, suggests that it was used as a reliquary or as a container for sacred liquids, such as water from the river Jordan or holy ointments

Two Scottish Cup medals in the Dens boardroom
MIchael Neal presented his grandfather, Bert's, Scottish FA Cup winners medal to Dundee FC, Bert was one of four Englishmen in Dundee's 1910 cup win. Michael of Southam in Warwickshire traveled North to be a guest of the club at Dundee FC's Hall of Fame Dinner and to present the club with Bert's medal.

This is for my chocolate/sugar lovin' flickr friends....
Directions:
1) prepare one cup of cocoa piping hot (more cups if you are having your chocolate/sugar lovin' friends join you for this delicious mix.)
2) select three Hershey's kisses (usually enought for the job, but it's flexible)
3) while cocoa is cooling off just a tad (no scalding of the mouth!), unwrap your kisses
4) place one kiss in your mouth nestling it on your tongue
5) take a sip of cocoa
6) let the sweet hot liquid melt your chocolate kiss into an explosion of taste sensations
7) keep sipping until the kiss is completely dissolved (no chewing!)
8) pick up the next kiss, repeat steps 4-7.
I actually brought a percolator, cup, cocoa and kisses to a teacher when I was in high school (nevermind how long ago) to have her try this. I love sharing this secret recipe...not so secret but it's seldom heard of. I'm happy to share it with you! ENJOY!

La peluca se le he cosido (medio cosido por que esta medio calva per la perte de dentor del gorro... Tengo poca paciencia) a partir del pelo de la peluca horrible que me llegó con Hanabi jiji Hasta que no pueda comprarle una nuevecita tendrá que ir con esta o la de stock que es bastante feucha ú.u

Also this year's first Christmas gift, presented today by a dear friend. The cup is a creation of Trinidadian ceramicist Adam Williams.
