This cuff was for a swap with the Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group and it is for Ineke. I hope she likes it.
I liked the form of the first convex cuff, but upon reflection,(and wearing for a day),felt the "ear muffs" ought to be deeply convex, as well to mimic the large central ellipse.
So this is the second iteration. I have also used a uniform thickness throughout (unlike the first one).
This cuff is made from 3 (cold formed)pieces welded together.
Cold formed means no heat. I have made convex male and female dies for my 20 ton hydraulic press. So these shapes begin as flat ellipses, are then pressed into convex shapes and lastly, welded together, inside and out . The long axis of each piece is aligned latitudinally as it wraps about the wrist.
Welded stainless steel.
As with my other cuffs ,I use a jig or form to hold all the parts together for welding, which mimics fairly precisely the two long bones of my arm,(radius and ulna) ending at my wrist and the ratio of their respective diameters to one another.
I have been very inspired by the work of the premier Danish silversmith Georg Jensen (1866-1935) for his ORGANIC DESIGNS. Obviously trying to fashion organic forms in stainless steel is a bit more challenging because it is an exceedingly tenacious material.I like to fantasize that he might have appreciated this cuff...
This piece is available for purchase.
Please note me for pricing.

Born 1868 Died 6th February 1949 former Everton FC manager and chairman
Local solicitor, William Charles Cuff, was a supporter of George Mahon in his stance against John Holding (grave added previous) and when Everton FC left Anfield for Goodison in 1892 he became a shareholder. His manager record was played 577, won 275, lost 192, drew 110. He also lead the team to a FA cup triumph in 1906 over Newcastle and their second league title in 1914–15, and with Cuff as chairman Everton won the League title 2 more times and the 1933 FA Cup Final against Manchester City.
Not only did Everton do well with Cuff as chairman on the field but off it as well, they were the first football club to have double decker stands and where the richest club in the country (how times change!!). At the start of the 1938/39 season Will Cuff stepped down at as chairman in order to replace John McKenna (Liverpool FC's first manager) as the President of the Football League.
He died on the 6th Feb 1949, at the Holywell Hotel, Parkgate. There was a mile long procession. at his funeral which took place on the 10th Feb 1949 at Fairfield Church

Amoeba comes from the Greek word amoibe, means change. It’s a tiny, one-celled organism that moves by changing its shape.
Just like these one-celled organism, the Ripple beads shimmer and shine and appear to change its shape and color all on its own.
Woven on a simple base, the Ripple “amoeba” are embellished with glittering Swarovski lachrosen for that added shimmer. The clasps is hidden and making the cuff appear endless, with no beginning or end.

This is a gorgeous, handmade cuff with an Aztec feel. The base is thick copper wrapped with layers of hand-textured brass, German silver, and copper in a criss-crossing pattern. The tube rivets add strength with a decorative touch. It has a beautiful antique finish to really show the textures. It measures 1&1/4in. wide, the wrap stands 1/4in.from the base, and will fit a 6-7&1/2in. wrist. It has been sealed to prevent tarnish and skin discoloration from the copper.
Inspired by the shapes that water takes when still and then disturbed, this piece was complimented with the ripple effect of the fringe.
Design: Caron Reid

Chinese dragons are legendary creatures in Chinese mythology and folklore. Dragons are typically portrayed as long, scaled, serpentine creatures with four legs. Traditionally they symbolize potent and auspicious powers, particularly control over water, rainfall, hurricane, and floods. The dragon is also a symbol of power, strength, and good luck.
The 2-hole lentils standing on its end resembles the scales of the all-powerful dragon. Laid out in an inter-locking pattern this cuff is elegant and slinky while at the same time strong and sturdy just like the dragon.
Jet black cuff with antiqued silver detais creates and strong visual. Cut out windows allow skin or fabric to show through making this piece very versatile.
