The Cube, is an outdoor sculpture by Bernard (Tony) Rosenthal, located on Astor Place, on the island of Manhattan in New York City. It takes the form of a black cube, 8x8x8 feet (2.4 m) long on each side, mounted on a corner, and rotates.

In a short period when the LEA AIR sims where free for a night and a day, i could test some more Cube swarms.
I didn't keep count but in total i used 7500 prims / 12 = 625 cubes = 5 x 5 x 5 x 5. Here you can see some images, but it would be better to film it, to see the behavior.
I used the swarm script of Apotheus Silverman.

I changed a few parameters and the behavior or state (flex or not flex)of the rootprim to get some control over the swarm.
Still every moment hundreds go off sim and end up in Lost an found folder.
The Cubes are 10m x 10m x 10m and each edge is formed by a 10 x 0.2 x 0.2 m Prim . The Swarm traveled over 2 sims (a sim is 256x256x4096m ) the day later it seemed they used all 20 sims :-) .
I've set myself the task of learning a method to solve the Rubik Cube.
I'm taking it slow, and trying to make sure each stage is bedded in before moving on.
I can do the top side layer, and the second layer. Today, I'm starting to orient the side pieces on the bottom face.
Then I will have to learn how to position those edge pieces, then position the corners on that face, then orient the corners.
I doubt I'll ever be a fast solver, I'm nowhere near nimble enough (and way to old now) - but I'll be happy to be able to solve this thing from my youth.
Seeing a 12 year old solve it in under 30 seconds the other day is in no way a spur.....
The cube in the picture has two layers, and a cross on the underside.

Unfortunately hand held as my tripod head prevented me from tilting the camera back as far as I wanted for the shot. Still pretty happy with the shots I got though.
OK, it's a bit morbid. But no animals were killed for this art by Alette Wttewaall.
It's not so much about the music on the festival Into The Great Wide Open, even though the line up is always strong. No, it's the whole experience of going to an island by boat, camping in the dunes with friends and enjoy the beautiful nature all around you.
I wrote a little blog about it before I went.
