The cubby house in Spring. The nasturtium (orange flowers) are annuals, they flower from Spring through to Summer. The 40deg Summer days fry them to death then in Autumn the dropped seeds germinate by themselves. They are sad through the Winter frost but by Spring they recover to look like this.

We went on our first Preschool field trip on Wednesday and of course Cubby was dressed to impress. She loved the farm and even tried to take home a goat.

I built this out of red oak and used General Finishes EF Espresso stain. I think it turned out great!
I found this cabinet for pennies secondhand. 19 1/2" X 12", It was of raw wood with a white laminate backing & in a state of grunge. One of the vertical dividers was missing too.
Altered with paint, distressing & various papers.
Now it lives in my studio space.
