One of my regrets about living in Washington state was not spending more time looking for Sasquatch.
This is 3'x3', acrylic paint on canvas. I'm liking the metallic silver. It's for the upcoming Paintpushers show. It has a monster theme.

The Pope Lick Monster is a legendary half-man, half-goat creature reported to live beneath a railroad trestle bridge over Pope Lick Creek in Louisville, KY. Is he an escaped circus freak or the product of an ill fated union between a local farmer and his goats? No one can be sure. Some rumors blame him for a train derailment. Some claim he frightens travelers into leaping from the trestle to their deaths, while others say he holds them down on the tracks himself ala’ Snidely Whiplash. Travelers beware! He lurks in wait……
I created this Pope Lick Monster for the “cryptid” prompt for Mab’s Drawloween Club 2018.
Variation of a text-prompt generation in AI Deep Dream - TEXT2DREAM.
The Mode used was Artistic 1.
The text contained the words HIERONYMUS BOSCH, H.R. GIGER and CRYPTID TAXIDERMY.
I had run a series on Nightcafe, now I wondered how the same prompt would work on DD Text2Dream.

After escaping the Urag facility, I met up with the rest of my squad as they were making their way back to the exfil vehicle. they were all amazed to see me alive, and I told them what had gone down. The younger ones were amazed by the tale of the Mutant, but Cryptid and I shared a glance understanding the implications of the Urag experimentation. I then said that we should make haste back to camp, and we left.
Upon returning to camp, we immediately delivered the intel to the tech operators. Inserting it to the computers, they discovered that it was filled with data on how the Urags were manufacturing the Mutants. One of the logs stated that they were having trouble asserting themselves over the Mutants, and they wouldn't take orders well. This much was obvious, by the apparent breakout. Fortunately, the Urags couldn't yet bring these terrible weapons to bear on the USDF... yet. Somewhat reassured, I went back to my tent for some rest. not bothering to change, I laid down...
Several hours later, I was awoken by hard rapping on a wooden post in my tent. Opening my eyes, I saw two MP's standing in my tent. "Are you Lt. Dagger?" One asked. I replied yes. not wasting any time, one of the two dragged me out of bed, and the other slapped wrist irons on me. Confused, I asked one what I was charged with. He replied, "Negligent manslaughter of the first degree. Someone high up issued the warrant. You're coming with us. Still confused, I followed them out of the tent. Outside, was a loose semicircle of soldiers, some my friends. I matched gazes with Cryptid, who had a quizzical look. I shrugged my shoulders, and continued. The MP's led me to a vehicle, a troop carrier with an enclosed back. Only briefly, I saw a woman who looked like Anna in the passenger seat. Then I was thrown into the back, and I saw the door close behind me. I heard the lock click, and we were off. Driving, to who knows where...
Pic taken by one of our Moultrie digital game cameras. Time and date stamped. Known as a "flying rod" or "skyfish", thought to be an unknown species not too long ago. Now, well, not so much. General consensus is that it is a trick of the camera, insect flying by camera combined with slow shutter speed (an insect trail). Do a Google search, you be the judge.
That's our dog in the background walking away from the camera.

...or Yeti for short.
The Yeti or Abominable Snowman is possibly a creature and an ape-like cryptid said to inhabit the Himalayan region of Nepal and Tibet. The names Yeti and Meh-Teh are commonly used by the people indigenous to the region,[1] and are part of their history and mythology. Stories of the Yeti first emerged as a facet of Western popular culture in the 19th century.

Saddle-billed Stork
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kingdom: Animalia
Binomial name
Ephippiorhynchus senegalensis
Catching a fish in TanzaniaThe Saddle-billed Stork (Ephippiorhynchus senegalensis) is a large wading bird in the stork family, Ciconiidae. It is a widespread species which is a resident breeder in sub-Saharan Africa from Sudan, Ethiopia and Kenya south to South Africa, and in The Gambia, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire and Chad in west Africa.
This is a close relative of the widespread Asian Black-necked Stork, the only other member of the genus Ephippiorhynchus.
Characteristics
Photographed at Kazinga Channel, UgandaThe Saddle-billed Stork breeds in marshes, forested waterlands and other floodlands in tropical lowland. It builds a large, deep stick nest in a tree, laying one or two white eggs weighing about 146g each. It does not form breeding colonies, and is usually found alone or in pairs. The incubation period is 30-35 days, with another 70 - 100 days before the chicks fledge.
This is a huge bird that regularly attains a height of 150 cm (5 feet) and a 270cm (9 feet) wingspan. The male is larger and heavier than the female, with a range of 5.1-7.5 kg, the female is usually between 5 and 6.9 kg. It is probably the tallest, if not the heaviest, of the storks. Females are distinctly smaller than the males. It is spectacularly plumaged. The head, neck, back, wings, and tail are iridescent black, with the rest of the body and the primary flight feathers being white. The massive bill is red with a black band and a yellow frontal shield (the “saddle”). The legs and feet are black with pink knees. Sexes are identically plumaged except that the female has a golden yellow iris, while the male's is brown. Juveniles are browner grey in plumage.
They are silent except for bill-clattering at the nest. Like most storks, these fly with the neck outstretched, not retracted like a heron; in flight, the large heavy bill is kept drooping somewhat below belly height, giving these birds a very unusual appearance to those who see them for the first time (see here for photo). To experienced birdwatchers on the other hand, this makes them easily recognizable even if seen from a distance. It has been suggested that due to the large size and unusual appearance in flight, this species is the basis for the "Big Bird" and Kongamato cryptids.
The Saddle-billed Stork, like most of its relatives, feeds mainly on fish, frogs and crabs, but also on small birds and small reptiles . They move in a deliberate and stately manner as they hunt, in a similar way to the larger herons.
Mothman is a legendary moth-like creature reportedly seen in the Point Pleasant area of West Virginia from 15 November 1966 to 15 December 1967. Mothman was introduced to a wider audience by Gray Barker in 1970, later popularized by John Keel in his 1975 book The Mothman Prophecies, claiming that Mothman was related to a wide array of supernatural events in the area and the collapse of the Silver Bridge. Some ufologists, paranormal authors, and cryptozoologists believe that Mothman was an alien, a supernatural manifestation, or an unknown cryptid. Many Mothman reports to are thought to be pranks, misidentified planes, and sightings of a barred owls or an albino owl, suggesting that the Mothman's "glowing eyes" were actually red-eye effect caused from the reflection of light from flashlights or other bright light sources. Im going say based on pictures I searched... its owl encounters! What do you think?

Chupacabra from chupar "to suck" and cabra "goat", literally "goat sucker" is a legendary cryptid rumored to inhabit parts of the Americas. The name comes from the animal's reported habit of attacking and drinking the blood of livestock, especially goats. The most common description of the chupacabra is that of a reptile-like creature, appearing to have leathery or scaly greenish-gray skin and sharp spines or quills running down its back. When it screeches, some reports assert that its eyes glow an unusual red which gives the witnesses nausea. With many documented sightings on record and some supposed specimens found dead most in the scientific community believe that this legend is nothing more then dogs, coyotes and raccoons or other similar animals with cases of mange, giving them a scaly reptilian look, pronounced features and a gaunt appearance. The glowing red eyes are nothing more then light reflections off the creatures eyes and the killing of livestock is nothing uncommon when it comes to typical coyote behavior. So what do you think the chupacabra really is...fact or fiction? Let me know:)
