We made a side trip to Rhinelander on our way home to see some of the hodag sights. The hodag is so important in this town that there is even a store that only sells hodag themed items (as well as a hodag themed Airbnb house, which is the green building behind the store). The art on their truck is impressive!
When he gasped, it was filled with the water of renewal. Drowning was nearly his re-entry into the world, lungs teeming with that which he did not yet understand. But then, it all peeled away, burned new and bright and disorienting.
