This ungated crossing over the very busy A47 by-pass before the track was removed in June 2005 as being in a poor state of repair and replaced in the Spring of 2006 yet removed again in 2011? There is no way any organisation will be allowed to operate trains over this crossing whilst it remains ungated. The same Health and Safety regulations will obviously apply to the Redmoor Lane crossing.
The Council can find monies to widen this road but not a flyover?

Near the end of the walk and the bus stop, it had been quite a long and hot end to the walk, had there been a handy café we would have stopped and waited for bus.
Another quiet morning in Ontonagon as the shuttered mill looms on the horizon. ELS 500 has just reached the west bank of the Ontonagon River, is crossing River Road and is about to trace the new reverse curves on the way into the mill yard.

Walking back after a long day I stopped by the little stream the runs along the bottom of the little hollow I have to walk through, a magical place where you feel something has happened but you don't know what. Quite eerie but enticing.
The newest crossing over the Clyde opened on Friday 15th May and already has been nicknamed "The Squiggly Bridge"

Towneley West signal box was located alongside the Down East Lancs line by Moseley Road level crossing in Burnley, and was a Saxby & Farmer type 9 design fitted with a 26 lever Saxby & Farmer frame built in 1878 for the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Company by signalling contractors Saxby & Farmer. The lever frame was replaced at some time by a 24 lever Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Company Tappet frame, and the signal box was renamed Towneley Station on 3rd December 1951 when the 624 yard distant Towneley Colliery Sidings signal box was closed. The signal box was renamed Towneley Level Crossing Frame and reduced to a non block post on 7th October 1973 controlling the adjacent level crossing and a crossover when signalling passed to Preston signal box. The lever frame was replaced by a British Railways London Midland Region individual function switch console commissioned on 23rd September 1979, and the signal box was fitted with new window and cladding circa 1990. The signal box was renamed Towneley Level Crossing by the time a replacement Unipart Rail individual function switch console was commissioned on 29th January 2007

Killarney Crossing

Killarney's main entrance is located across the Killarney Crossing bridge (originally known as the "Brittany Bridge"), which is across from the Scotland Clydesdale stables. The hamlet opened on May 19th, 2001. It's basically a reskinned version of the original Hastings, England hamlet, which opened with the park on May 10th, 1975 and closed at the end of the 2000 season in October. The bridge was redone with Hastings flags and signage in 2015 for the park's 40th anniversary, and was returned to normal afterwards.
Rob Worland brings number 43 "Clive" across the entrance crossing at the front of the museum. Rob has provided the following details:
This locomotive is one of the best Australian examples of the amusement park railway era, 1920s to
1960s. It has classic steam locomotive lines. It is at home on a circular portable track or meandering
through the grounds of a large facility hauling a very long train.
It is a copy of steam locomotive No.101 built for the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Qld, in 1964.
Built in Brisbane in 1967 for Arthur Birch, the design brief was for a locomotive mechanically
identical to No.101 but as a 2-6-2 and cosmetically dressed to be a 1:3 scale representation of a
backwoods loco like those operated on the three-foot gauge Denver South Park and Pacific Railroad,
USA.
It operated at the Australian Reptile Park, North Gosford, NSW, from 1967 until 1975, on weekends
and part of the school holidays. From 1975 until 1997 with gradually increasing public traffic it
operated weekly at the Smoky Mountain and Grizzly Flats Railroad, Warnervale, NSW. It was then
stored on site. Due to Arthur Birch’s and Len Gaut’s generosity, in 2022 it shifted to the Melbourne
Steam Club.
It was built at Warner, Brisbane, Qld. (adjacent to Qld. Model Engineers site) by Jim Jackson who has
built 27 miniature steam locos, including 1 x 11” gauge, 3 x 12” gauge.
Locomotive details: 1:3 Scale
14 feet 10 inches long including tender, over pulling lines. 2’ 3” wide
11½” driving wheels. 6½” leading wheels and 8” trailing wheels.
Cylinders (2) 4” x 5½”. Piston valves. Baker valve gear. Steam operated drain cocks.
Tractive effort 810 lb Weight in working order 2¼ ton.
In Australia, the Melbourne Steam Club is the only venue specifically set up with a purpose and
culture complementary to Arthur Birch’s wishes for the loco to be on display and carrying public
passengers. The Melbourne Steam Club railway seeks to capture the early twentieth century scene of
express steam locomotives hauling main line trains. In appearance, No.43 matches the passenger cars
regarding height and width. Inspired by the 1960s recorded intentions of the Diamond Valley
Railway, in 1972 the Melbourne Steam Club decided to have a park gauge railway as an integral part
of the proposed museum facility. Passenger services began in March 1993.
No.43 operates on the last Sunday of each month. Another six 12” gauge express steam locos are
being prepared for display or hauling trains.

The Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, is a brand new span over the Hudson River, north of New York City. Most people call it the New Tappen Zee, or just the Tappen Zee, remnants of the original can just be seen on the left.

Copnor Crossing signal box was a Saxby & Farmer type 5 design signal box that opened in 1879 for the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway Company and London & South Western Railway Company jointly owned Cosham Portcreek Junction and Portsmouth railway line. A 10 lever Stevens & Sons Tappet frame was installed when the signal box was closed on 28th April 1935 and replaced by Copnor Intermediate down home signal controlled from Green Lanes signal box and by Copnor Intermediate up home signal controlled from Fratton East signal box, the level crossing having been replaced by a bridge

Crossing Mnisose (“minne-show-she”) tells the story of one of America's first feminists, Sacajawea, and draws a line from a completely original view of Lewis and Clark to the present day, as descendants of the Dakota and Lakota Nations continue their fight for the Mnisose (or what Europeans named the “Missouri River”) and the lands that contain the burials of their ancestors. From celebrated playwright, activist, and attorney Mary Kathryn Nagle (Cherokee Nation), whose Manahatta captivated audiences at Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

The river Ebro has been very important for our region, but it is also a geographical feature that has separated villages and people. In order to cross the water in stretches where there was no bridge, there have been for many years lots of boats which transported objects, animals - and later vehicles. These barges were made out of two or more llaguts (small traditional boats with a wooden platform). In order to fight the current of the river, the structure was subject to a wire tied to both shores. A mobile footbridge - at the level of the waters of the river - allowed people's access. Although almost all the regional villages had a Pas de Barca (crossing boat)until the 1960s, they disappeared due to better roads, road transport and the building of bridges in some of the most important villages. In fact, nowadays there are only two: one in Flix and another in Miravet. The Flix barge is electrical, but the one in Miravet makes use of the watercourse force.
Crossing the river by ferry or barge is a unique experience, which allows us to remember what sailing along the Ebro was like.

El río Ebro ha sido el nexo de unión del territorio, pero a la vez un accidente geográfico que separaba poblaciones y comarcas. Desde hace muchos años, para salvar las aguas en tramos donde no había puente, se instauró una red de embarcaciones que tenían por objetivo transportar personas, animales -y más tarde vehículos- de un lado al otro de la orilla. Estas embarcaciones se llamaban barcazas y estaban formadas por dos o más laüdes (embarcaciones tradicionales muy poco profundas) sobre de las cuales descansa una plataforma de madera. Para facilitar la estabilidad y combatir la corriente del río, la estructura estaba sujeta a un cable metálico atado a las dos orillas. Una pasarela móvil -que se adapta al nivel del las aguas del río- permitía el acceso de los viajeros. Aunque hasta los años 1960 casi todos los pueblos riberenses disponían de una barca de paso, la consolidación de las infraestructuras viarias, el transporte por carretera y la progresiva construcción de puentes en algunos de los pueblos más importantes han propiciado su desaparición. De hecho, hoy en día sólo se conservan dos: uno en Flix y el otro en Miravet. La barcaza de Flix funciona con energía eléctrica, en cambio el paso de barca de Miravet se sirve de la fuerza de corriente del agua. Cruzar el río con los transbordadores o las barcazas es una experiencia única que permite revivir una actividad que la modernidad ha convertido en un testigo vivo de la antigua navegación fluvial por el Ebro.

A Class 156 Unit of Abellio Greater Anglia heads out across the marshes from Great Yarmouth towards Acle. This train was 2P27, a service to Norwich on the afternoon of Thursday 22 September 2016.

National Route A006 (Argentina)
National Route A006 is a gravel road of 8.5 km (5.3 mi) connecting the town of Las Cuevas on the nortwhest of the province of Mendoza with the Christ the Redeemer monument in the border between Argentina and Chile. This road is only open in the summer season. It is always important to inquire in the cities of Mendoza or Uspallata on the road conditions as it could be impassable at times. In it winding length it changes altitude from 3,151 m (10,338 ft) to 3,832 m (12,572 ft).
Before the construction of the Cristo Redentor Tunnel, the road was the only border crossing between the two countries in this area.
An SB Rail Tamper switches tracks onto Berwick Upon Tweed platform 2 before departing with a move up to Slateford Yard.

Powering away from Nottingham, 156473 works 2S07 the 07.34 Nottingham to Skegness service past Sneinton Crossing on the signalbox's last day of operation, the 19th July 2013. It will be become a victim of the Nottingham Resignalling project, which starts tomorrow and lasts for 5 weeks. A bridge is to be built on this spot to replace the crossing, the foundations for which can be seen to the right of the unit. The foundations on the other side of the line will be built exactly where the box stands. The signalman very kindly let me have a look around his box, as well as telling us what was coming for the frequent traffic on this line. There are over 70 movements on a day shift across this crossing, being on the stretch of line where both the Newark and Grantham lines join to enter Nottingham station.
