This is a keepsake garter in black and silver and red- for keeping in a traditional pirate skull and crossbones.
The fabric is woven super soft acetate satin with a black background and the skull and crossbones is in silver. The garter is trimmed in black lace, red and black feathers and matching ribbons. Attached is a super skull and crossbones silver charm-large enough to be seen but small enough to blend well with garter.
This garter will fit up to a 22 inch leg measurement.

A garden in the making: an estimated 15,000 people, mostly prostitutes and poor people, are buried in a small patch of land a stone's throw from London Bridge. Not so long ago, Transport for London wanted to get its hands on the plot; now it's becoming a quirky green space to enjoy and remember. On the railings facing the street, people have put up ribbons and home-made votives to remember those long dead, and friends and relatives lost more recently too.
Located in downtown Atlanta, GA behind the Norfolk Southern Building, this set was made to look like Nigeria, where Captain America confronts Crossbones.

Pendant mounted on a gold toned cameo. Hand beaded on off white faux pearls and used gold toned hardware. I loved making this one. It was fun and I adore the out come.
The grave of Robert Stafford in the shape of a coffin. It dates from 1702. On the top in relief, is a cartouche containing an hourglass, a serpent eating its tail, crossbones and wings. At the bottom is a skull and crossbones. On the ends are rings, made to look like handles.
And death to Captain Flint!
Fantastic production of S&A at the Bristol Old Vic - really imaginative staging and music by Neil Hannon of Divine Comedy fame

8" buttercake filled with buttercream & iced with fondant.
Was for a 7th birthday for my neighbours little boy. His favourite colours are pink & purple but I didn't want to put too much pink in there...try to keep it a little masculine ;-)
Design from PC cake book.
Y'know, ya don't often see a crucifix with a skull and crossbones...
It's probably still for sale at Curiosities, a most excellent antiques-and-folk-art shop here in Dallas.
Church Dedication: St Matthew (Stretton with Appleton)
Location: Stretton, Warrington, Cheshire, England, UK
Formerly in the graveyard, this sandstone slab lay at the base of loose stones below the central east window. Part of a carved skull was visible on an exposed edge of the slab and no other marks were visible. Local tradition maintained that the carved skull had been cut to denote where a stone mason fell to his death from the church parapet possibly in the 15th or 18th centuries.
The skull and crossbones plus the heart were probably carved in the 17th century and reflect a time when pestilence was common and life expectancy was short. Death was never far away and people were encouraged to "REMEMBER YOUR DEATH" which in latin is "MEMENTO MORI".
