(Took the camera to my GP's Surgery for an appointment because the Crocus are usually lovely around now, but it was a Foggy morning so the sun hadn't encouraged them to open out .....)

Lovely soft midday diffused sunlight on these crocus. Hand held. No post processing. Nikon D850 Nikkor 200mm f4 micro lens ISO 160 1/60 @ f6.3

Thank you to everyone who views, favs or comments on my photos, it is always appreciated.

My first crocus, it must be Spring!

These low growing plants with large purple flowerser. First signs of coming spring.

Mythwise seems Crocus (Greek boy) had a mad crush on Smilax (SL name if ever I heard one), a nymph too. Anyhoo she wasn't diggin' it and crabbed to the heavens so those fun loving gods hanging around Olympus turned him into the flower, Crocus, and her into a Yew tree.... Moral of this is the gods are crazy.

One upright and one flattened, whether by the wind or the dog, I know not, both are definite possibilities since both have been very active in the garden of late!

Beautiful bright crocus have been popping up across the lawn. After a little rain the drops were clinging onto the petals.

This early spring bloomer was not in a formal garden, but rather, in a forested area of a local park. It was great to see this unexpected splash of colour in that location and I will be sure to thank the head gardener next time I see him.

Thank you for stopping by and for leaving me a comment! Have a great day!

We went to visit my brother and family living in Göteborg for the Easter week-end. Temperatures were more springlike and a lot of crocuses were blooming in his garden.

Thank you for your visit, most appreciated!

Taken in my garden during the briefest spell of calm between rain yesterday! A welcome splash of colour and the promise of warmer and longer days to come.

Another image taken whilst lying flat on my stomach amongst the Crocus at the bottom of my garden on Sunday.
